Footminders BALTRA Unisex Orthotic Arch Support Sandals (Pair) - Walking Comfort with Orthopedic Support

I own this Baltra brand in black and Vionic in brown. The only significant difference is the foot base is slightly softer in these Baltra sandals. They may not last as long due to that reason.Comfort level is the same in the foot bed and the strap.The look of the Vionic strap is a little nicer, but just as comfortable.Foot support type/angle is the same.Both brands have the same sizing. I wear a 8 1/2 shoe usually, and I ordered an 8 in both brands. They fit the same.My best friend and I both have Plantar Fasciitis, and feel both these brands are a good support for this problem. We both have worn them all day for weeks this summer with reduced foot pain.In comparison, they are very close. Vionics has a large selection of colors, and will probably last just a bit longer with it's firmer foot base.I will update my review later to see how they hold up over time.UPDATE: AFTER A FEW MONTHS OF SUMMER WEAR I noticed the BALTRA black color wears off on my feet. Especially in the heel. This has not happened with the Vionics.I hope this is helpful.

I've worn Vonics (Orthaheels) for years, so I'm so glad I found these. The price point is way better, and they have the same arch support. In fact, the quality may even be better. (I'll see after I wear them to death all summer) I love the Vonics arch support, but they are over priced for the quality. I am glad I found these Footminders on Amazon!!

Life changing! I can't wear flip flops without feeling pain all night long. I wore these all day yesterday and I had 0 pain last night. I have plantar fasciitis really bad. I must have an arch at all times and these do the trick. Thank goodness because I was fearing what I could wear this summer!

Just got them, but so far so good. They are very thick and offer a lot of firm cushion from shock to your heel. They have a strong arch support and side stabilization built into the footbed. Flip flops are my go to around the house foot wear and I basically always wear something on my feet, so they will get tons of use.They have decent treads and seem well made enough... so far. I haven't put them through months of abuse yet. I will update if they fall apart or somehow start failing to be comfortable.Otherwise these are great reasonably prices flip flops with orthopedic support. Beyond just being cooler than slipper and good for people who like flip flops in general. They are EASY TO CLEAN.For someone like me who is looking for footwear with good arch and heel support to deal with heel and Plantar fasciitis these are ideal because they are cheap and I can clean them easily, unlike slippers. I also find flip flops tend to hold up pretty well due to their simple design and lack of fabric.I have the Vionic $120 flip flips and I THINK these are better and far more fairly priced. Vionic is kind of exploiting foot pain sufferers with some of their price imo as are many orthopedic footwear and insert manufacturers. I also have the Spenco Yumi and those are significantly inferior to those. They are too thin and don't have the heel support. The Vionics are also thinner and have a little piece of squishy material for you heel, which is a nice idea, but since it's a separate piece of material from the footbed it's destined to fail. The thicker all in one footbed is a better design.I also believe these flip flops have more arch support than Vionic, which for me, makes them that much more comfortable, but I believe the main tadvantage is they are just thicker and absorb more impact than most any other orthopedic footbed I have found. Vionic slippers also have tough footbeds, buy they are a pain to clean and much easier to fall off your foot or trip you on the stairs.SOooo, these are about the best flip flops I've ever found. I will probably buy a few more pair if they hold up for a couple months.I think this is a good GO TO piece of footwear for most people with Plantar fasciitis as well. You MUST wear foot protection at all times to absorb the impact of hard surfaces and allow your foot to heal or you will have chronic pain. You need footwear or padding EVEN in the shower. I use my old flip flops for that, but a soft bath pad will work.Anti fatigue mats in front of places you stand a lot is also smart. Places like the kitchen sink, bathroom sink, stove, washing machine can all benefit from a soft rug or mat of some kind. You want to be aggressive about padding your feet from impact because they really can't heal otherwise.Since I'm writing a book anyway. DON'T IGNORE THE STRETCHING! Padding at ALL times is important, but stretching will definitely help. The lunges are probably the best universally easy stretch you can do.

I have a heel spur on my left foot, plantar fascitus on my right foot, and I also have the "highest arches" my podiatrist has ever seen. Suuuuuuper lucky, I know. I can't walk barefoot for more than 20 feet without pain and these have really helped keep me mobile.The heel cup is soft and elevated ever so slightly which takes some of the pressure off the heel and I'm feeling the "weight" in the front of the arch near the big toe.The arch support alone is nice and high, not quite enough for me but should be comfortable for others. If you find Danskos comfortable this might feel similiar, but unlike the clogs the arches are longer and these have more "give".There is plenty of room for your toes to stretch out if you have wider feet.One of my favorite features is that the horizontal strap sits a little "higher" on your foot, less close to the toes, which has helped me avoid the flapping noise and kept them a little more secure on the foot, less slipping, even when wet. However, I've "caught" the front and almost tripped a couple times, watch yourself. It could be just me, I'm pretty clumsy.As far as color, I have the black, gray and white, they all look pretty true to online, but that can be the computer's fault too. The grays were lighter than I expected but that ended up working out better for me.

The shoe fit as expected. The shoe adjust to your size over time so don't be alarmed if it seems like the size is too small. If you wear a size 10, get a ten...wear a 9 get a nine...half sizes, go a size up.
