Can easily replace home DSL or Cable internet
I've been experiencing problems with my "wired internet" from a certain cable company recently and combined with their intended rate increase at the beginning of the year, decided it was time to move on.This Inseego MiFi X Pro M3000 Hotspot is, I suspect, going to fit in very well as a replacement. Once I had it activated at my local T-Mobile (corporate) store, it immediately set about updating itself and was completed by the time I got home. The ethernet port needs to be enabled before you can use it, but once I took care of that, I was able to plug my previously configured home wifi router into it and it's like the original providers connection was never disturbed. I'm actually getting more reliable connections over my entire home wifi network than I was with "the cable company's" connection.I could have left the MiFi's internal wifi radios on, but with the ethernet connection to my previously configured router, I saw no reason to. This is quite honestly the easiest change in internet providers I have ever had happen.

Great purchase, saved my business for a weekend!
I work at conventions with little to no service and it gets so frustrating using devices that require wifi to work. This little device keeps my business up and running all weekend long. I am so happy I made this purchase! We even used it on a recent road trip, and it worked so well.

Also has Ethernet port
It seems to use a lot of its battery to operate (convert a cell / mobile signal to wifi) but works well.I understand this model is unlocked; not sure which carriers support it. I put my Google Fi'data only' SIM card in it and it worked without a APN configuration hassle.I would buy again.

Illinois to Colorado with no problem.
We roadtrip… like to watch movies, stream etc. I used this WiFi from Illinois to Colorado… 12 hrs and never had an issue. I will say T-mobile gets the majority of the credit because without their signal it wouldn’t matter what kind of Wi-Fi box you had. Keeping it real.

Not fast!
TMobile does not offer a dedicated ip address.

Better to buy the unlocked Nighthawk M6 or M7 Pro.
I got a free line from T-mobile and wanted to get a mobile hotspot so I can use that free line as a free mobile home internet. I initially got the Nighthawk M6 Pro but that one had several issue, namely it only supported a few T-mobile bands. The M6 pro also overheated sometime. I got this one figuring that at least I can get better wireless performances because it supposedly support the T-mobile 5G bands. Initial testing showed that the speed and coverage weren't any better than the M6 Pro. Moreover, the M6 Pro is more versatile, being able to connect to WiFi, effectively serving as a repeater. Its Ethernet port works as both WAN and LAN. The Inseego can do neither of these. There's no option to rebroadcast a WiFi signal so its useless as a router in places with no cell signal and its Ethernet port is LAN online. I also found the software to be a little sluggish and the screen small compared to the M6 Pro. In the end, I've decided to go with the M7 Pro, which is the upgraded version of the M6 Pro. At least compared to this, the M7 Pro will come with an X75 modem.

Great for my security system at remote location
I am using this with a T-mobile prepaid plan for a security camera system at my remote vacation home. There is no internet there, but a strong cell signal, so this setup was ideal. I had to set a menu option to "never sleep," so that it wouldn't turn off from inactivity. With that it's been ideal.

Works fantastic
I bought this to replace an older Inseego hotspot that was not working as well as I would like. This unit is fantastic. I am getting service in locations the original unit did not work.
