Bought this little number for the pool and for when I'm driving around in my Jeep with the top down. Love snaps on the side and the coverage it gives to my face and neck. Wanted to replace a wicker hat that I have placed in my luggage and destroyed. This one is nice cuz it can just get thrown in a bag and take it with me wherever I go. Just took it with me on a trip to Texas and used it while we were branding my father-in-law's cattle. Fits well, nice value, and has good quality feel.

Got it on sale. Good hat - great price. The draw string design is a bit funky - it's tied off on each end from two holes on the brim and drawn in and out from below. But the hat material is a good heavy material and the brim is flexible. Fit is good and washes well. Offers adequate protection from the sun.

Very nice hat, but build quality can be better as one of the buttons fell off quick. Still works great!

Nothing beats cotton in the heat. Bargain price for this quality.

The hat feels like it is 100% cotton. The inner band and shell that sits on your head and forehead is NOT 100% cotton. It is some synthetic material. I have a weird skin allergy to nylon especially, so I can’t wear this, unless I wanna look like I have an uncontrollable acne rash. The hat looks great though, seems well made, feels great m, and if you’re not allergic to synthetics it is just fine, nice wide brim, nice medium thickness of the material, great price. This hat only says “100% cotton” on the tag, no other material mentioned, hence why I’m giving it 3 stars. If you are looking for a cotton hat and don’t care about liner material, go for it, but if you have dermatological allergies to synthetics, I’d stay clear and look for something else.

I love these hats. I have two of them. They're well made. Unfortunately they put the two holes that anchor the chin strap too far back so it hangs in front of the outside of your ear. No hat I've ever worn has the strap hanging in front of the middle of the ear or behind the ear. It's always right in front of the ear. I am no expert. Wasn't it the dead guy Mark Twain that said: "An expert is someone who can spit over a boxcar"? But I do have 70 years experience wearing various hats. The head knows. The ears know. Since the hat looks the same front and back I just wear it backwards so the seam and the label inside is in the front, which is psychologically damaging to me but I think it's worth it because the hats are well made and the appearance is identical front and back. Now if they would just make the brim an inch longer in the back, I mean the front so that it covers your neck a little more. Like I said it's a good hat. Is this where they got the expression mad hatter? No one compensated me for this I paid for my hats and they are five star hats.......... if you wear them backwards.

Work good for the sun and they wash and dry great.

THE BRIM IS WAY SMALLER THAN SHOWN. THE ENTIRE HAT IS MADE TO FIT A SMALL WOMENS HEAD. DOES NOT SHADE NECK MUCH.
