These are not super dark sunglasses. In night driving they really help with the oncoming headlights, especially with improperly aimed headlights and large pickups with headlights that are on the same level as a SUV or car's windshield. The graduated lenses are a big help. I can see the road well with the bottom part and the upper part cuts down the glare of the headlights.

These are great glasses for the price point. I bought a pair in each color and it's not the end of the world if I break or lose a pair.
