Growth is DEFINITELY increased but lord have mercy does it make my hair 10 times prettier and softer too! I have 2c/3a hair that I bleach white/platinum. I normally retouch my roots for my platinum hair every 6 weeks, I’m having to do them every 3-4 weeks now because it’s just growing like crazy! I’ve always had fairly healthy hair so I can’t speak to the new growth being any different with regards to density or texture but I have noticed that areas where I had wispy, short baby-hairs are now growing longer. I wouldn’t be surprised if those with thinned or fragile hair saw new growth come in stronger with this. I don’t have issues with thinning hair either, so YMMV there as I’m simply trying to grow out a pixie cut and have a healthier scalp. I don’t use it daily as per the directions because it can be greasy on my short hair if I do it too often. I’m a white girl and while I have a lot of hair, my texture and color make too much oil very apparent. As the consistency is pretty thin it can be hard to keep it off my lengths when I use it. I still get many of the claimed benefits though. I think at this point I’m using it every 2-3 days and probably about 1/3-1/2 dropper of the oil each time. I use a large silicone scalp massager to really work it into and across my scalp for a good 10-15 minutes after a brief finger massage and even without the benefits the oil provides it’s a wonderful self-care treat. It smells lovely (soft, fruity scent), tingles pleasantly on my scalp and feels refreshing, really softens and moisturizes my hair. It works beautifully as a pre-wash oil as well. On my off days I’ll use a heavy application for my whole head when I get up in the morning and by around lunch I’ll hop in the shower to wash it out and you would not believe how soft and shiny my hair is after. My stylist even commented last time I was in for a trim that my hair felt so wonderful. Anyone with bleached hair knows it can get dry, look dull, and feel rough very easily but mine is luxuriously soft and shiny now. Also - the bottle is massive! It’s stupidly cheap for how much you get and far it stretches. So many other scalp oils only come in 1oz bottles but you get a whopping 4OZ here and it comes in a dark glass bottle to protect the contents. No rationing the magical elixir inside to save money, and no weeping over your wallet taking a hit every month or two when a tiny bottle runs out. We love an economical workhorse!

So, I used an entire bottle of this oil previously. I adore how it smells. It helps retain moisture, doesn't weigh down my hair, and is likely contributing to hair growth (I also take biotin). I love the tingle and the soothing effect it has on my scalp, especially after getting fresh box braids. However! The newest bottle I just received that states "enhanced formula" really threw me off. The oil doesn't smell ANYTHING like the original bottle I received (that bottle, interestingly, states that it is "new and improved"). It smells medicinal and is missing that sweet blueberry and peppermint scent completely. The enhanced formula is not a clear oil and instead is partially milky. It doesn't mix together, no matter how much you shake it. I didn't use it because I'm paranoid and worked too hard to grow this hair for anything crazy to happen. Repurchased the same "new and improved formula" and am nervous it's going to be discontinued in favor of the other one. I hope not.

Smells great, it does a wonderful job for controlling my curls.

I have had an issue w/ itchy scalp but no dandruff for a month now & gave this a try. I love the smell. I chose to use it on " dirty" hair in case it did make hair feel or look greasy. It almost instantly soothed my scalp, I also keep in fridge so it has a cool feel when applied. . After about an hr my scalp was no longer itchy. It did make my hair a bit oily but since the next day was wash day it was fine. My hair was super soft after washing & almost zero scalp itchy. I wash my hair every cpl of days to prevent more dryness of scalp & use this the night before & so love the non itching scalp & softness on top of great smell.

I used the older formula for a while and really enjoyed it (4b/c hair). My scalp health really went up, I noticed that shedding a thinning began to slow down dramatically, and no itchiness or flakes! However, when the new formula dropped I was skeptical, because the consistency and smell was very different but I gave it a try. I really can feel the quality of this new product, it's much more natural and the smell isn't that strong to where other's around you can smell it. I LOVE that it has turmeric in it, a lot of very expensive scalp and hair serums use the turmeric superfood. It's great to use for reducing hair loss and inflammation in the scalp, which I really need. I shake the bottle rigorously before applying it to my scalp, I only use it on my scalp even though it's for hair as well. Overall, I would recommend people to try it if their looking for a new scalp oil or are just hesitant to try the new formula. : )

The smell of this product is amazing! Easy to apply & weight of oil is also great as it isn’t thick. I really enjoy this product as it is one of the only things that treats my scalp on my hair growth journey.

I am very disappointed that they changed the formula. It's called blueberry and mint but is now lacking both from the scent. There is no tingle and I dislike the bland smell. I don't understand why they would change it. I bought 5 bottles when it went on sale because it has been the only oil that worked for my scalp, I can't decide whether to keep the unused ones or not...

This product feels really good on my scalp and I am already loving the effects of it

Great product for itchy, dry scalp, also great to keep scalp moisturised and scalp feeling fresh. I and my children love this product, the menthol isn't for everyone but for my family it's OK, smells fantastic and its easy to apply.

Es muy ligero, acuoso pero al final es un aceite, si te excedes, se ve. Huele delicioso !!!

Super happy with this product! My hair smells good and my scalp is nourished, fresh and satisfied.
