Folgers Gourmet Supreme Coffee, 27.8 Ounce (Pack of 6)

@$63.85 for a pack of six and the can price is $10.64. A really good deal. Since it is somewhat more full bodied you are presented with the pleasant task of making a few pots and keep reducing the amount of coffee until you are satisfied. So, our experimental pot exercise helps decrease the amount of coffee needed and reduces overall cost. One strange thing about coffee makers, especially from Europe, is that their ounce doesn't weigh the same as our ounce (Braun and Cuisinart, for example). Nor is their water measurement the same as ours. Now, it is time for your handy dandy calculator. Although Folgers would want you to believe the standard pour of coffee into your cup is 6 oz, who drinks coffee out of tea time cups? Everyone I know uses a nice big mug. Mine holds 12 ounces. I have the Cuisinart and as an example I fill to where I think the 9 water mark is and add 6 level tablespoons of coffee. I used "White Out" to mark the coffee level in the pouring carafe and having used my weights and measurements, I always make a perfect cup of coffee. You might like to get a copy of "The Joy of Cooking" as it has a page with all the different measurements used, here and in Euro land.

GREAT deal! Spouse loves Folgers Gourmet Supreme. He will not drink any other brand of coffee or other 'flavor' of Folgers. Only Gourmet Supreme.

Product is great. Price is terrible. Local store sells it for half what this is listed for.

Gourmet Supreme variety isn't always easy for me to find at my local stores, and when I do they're expensive. Stocked up on Amazon, and they came nicely packaged.

Always the Best!

No fancy packaging or foil stickers. The container won't impress your snooty friends, but this is one of the best coffees I've ever tasted. If you like a rich, deep roast you'll like Folgers Gourmet Supreme. Perfect breakfast coffee, smooth with no bitterness. You won't have to measure an extra tablespoon or two to satisfy you. Just consistently good cup after cup. I remember when my Mom made Folgers in an electric percolator (some of you may not know what that is). They've been around awhile (even before percolators) and they know coffee. Oh and the container suits me just fine. That indentation on the side allows you to grip it while you're opening the lid. Clever, really. I'd like to share a funny anecdote. I received some kitchen storage containers that I ordered to organize my pantry. They were advertised as "airtight". Ha! I called customer service for a refund and put my staples in empty Folgers containers (until I find good ones) because their lids ARE airtight and the coffee stays fresh. Great deal finding my favorite coffee in bulk.
