Great brightness and easy to install
I added this blue LED drain plug to my 23' foot boat. This thing is easy to install , bright and adds a really nice feature to any boat.I linked it to other courtesy lights I normally have illuminated. This is a great accessory and I recommend adding one to your boat !

Bright and cast a nice beam of light.
I am impressed with how bright the Tidal Wake Light is. Value for your money for this light. Many compliments for how much light it casts. I did use plumber’s tape as suggested from other reviews. I use the light offshore and there are no leaks. Be sure to use a very large adjustable wrench that opens bigger than one inch. Do not use pliers because it will mess up the nice finish of the plug light housing.

Built as solid as a bolt
Like alot of transom lights, it has to be pitch black outside or you'll never see it from the boat. Does the job

Pretty Bright
Easy to install. It has a few inches from main part to the next section. Waterproof connection, then about 36" long wire. Then you will need to add more wire to get to your switch. It is pretty bright. The photo makes it seem a lot more blue than it is. But even behind a bravo 3 outdrive, all the way down it still puts out a good bit of light.I would give it 5 star if the wire was longer. Also it takes a 1-7/16" socket to take off.

Totally easy and appearance!
Wow is this thing slick! The light arrived nicely packaged and right out of the box it felt "heavy in hand" as in HIGH QUALITY. I have already hard wired the light into my boat with easy-to-follow instructions - in garage, took about 1 1/2 hours total including routing and hanging wires - and cannot wait to see how it looks in the water. We still have ice in WI and boats are not yet in the water, so the "water appearance" question remains unanswered. I have no reason to think it won't perform well. I gave it a 3 second test in the garage and it looks terrific and bright! We trailer often in the Midwest and regulations require that we drain and dry our boats and travel with the stern plug out. The Tidal Wake quick detach system looks good and tight and I expect it'll work great. Five stars absolutely... and excited!

Better then expected
Probably a little brighter in the picture but this light is definitely brighter then I thought. I had minimal space behind all the wedge and surf exhaust and it fit perfect. Still plenty bright for being behind all of the stuff under the swim step. Will eventually upgrade to permanent underwater lights but this works great for what it is.

DON'T BUY UNTIL YOU READ THIS!! Thank me later!
BEWARE!!!! This should be in red when purchasing this over priced non functional product out of the box. "You need a switch, rubber oring, battery connections and longer wire... All not included and needed for product to work correctly"If they are going to charge this much for a boat light don't you think you should include... A switch, rubber oring, and proper connections to hook the light up to your batteries?!! It would cost this company an extra $5 to include everything needed to make this work without figuring out as you install that you cannot hook up 2 wires to the batteries without the proper ends.. That you will most likely have to extend the battery wires. That once you have it hooked up the light will automatically turn on (out of water ofcourse becuase who installs a plug in the water) unless... you install your own switch at the batteries.. That you will need a rubber oring becuase it will not get tight before hitting the screws creating a gap for water to get in.Returning product becuase I have tried installing this thing 3 times and everytime I figure out I need another part to make this function correctly!
