As far as functionality, the socks are great. A good combination of materials for comfort and absorbency (if you have sweaty feet like me). I haven't had them long enough to see how they stand the test of time.I took two stars off for one reason: they are too heavily scented with a cloying perfume that just sticks around, and that personally I find obnoxious. I saw that other reviewers had complained about it, and honestly it wasn't that bad at first, right out of the box. I made the mistake of packing a couple pairs for a travel bag, before washing them (I figure they can't be that dirty right from the factory). When I opened my suitcase at my destination, however, I was immediately hit with the overpowering scent of it. I soaked them in the sink in warm water for half an hour, wrung them out, and dried them. The whole room ended up smelling with that scent, as did the clothes I had packed with them. I went ahead and wore them, since I hadn't packed any other dress socks, and just hoped it wouldn't be noticeable to the other folks I was meeting with.When I got home, I threw all the socks into a wash cycle with dirty laundry. After a wash and a drying, they still smelled. My other clothes that I washed with them also faintly smelled of it. Even after another use and second wash cycle, the socks still have a faint scent.So, two stars off. I hope the makers/distributors read this review, because they would be great socks absent the scent. The scent, and its concentration, are obnoxious - and made even more so for being completely unnecessary. I am really on the fence about buying another set in one of the other designs.

Socks came ripped. Would recommend against purchasing.UPDATE: Within a few days of posting a few that one of the socks I received had a hole, Hu Concept sent me a new box of socks. I was very surprised and impressed with their dedication to customer service, prompting me to change review from 1 star to 5 stars. Having tried these socks now for a few days, I’d say they are good for the summer months because the material is light. That said, the socks tend to drop down to the ankles. I’ll update again after the socks go through several cycles of laundry to see if they hold up.

I bought these last week because I needed some new dress socks to wear with a suit for a wedding I was attending. The display box was very cool design and I really liked the colors that I chose. Also, there was a nice fragrance to the socks too, which I had notcome across before. As far as comfort, I give an A+. In addition, they didn't leave a line impression on my calf like other socks do. First time that I wore the cotton socks, I was very impressed with comfort, style and price. I will definitely buy more; just to wear to work everyday. For me a great find!!

I love the socks. Great color variety and they fit well. That being said, they are treated with some scent either in the dying or packaging process that is repulsive. It smells like old lady perfume and has not come out after 3 washes. They have tarnished the load of laundry they were washed with.I'm hoping that eventually it will go away, but only time will tell.

My husband loves these! Not too thick and not too thin for him. Nice styles. Quality. They did come with a really strong smell of like a febreeze type of scent and it was overwhelming. The smell came out after about 4 washes.
