Really mellow tone
The instrument arrived much more quickly than the estimate, well packaged and in good condition.It took a couple of days to get the embouchure right but now I really enjoy playing it.Tuning is +/- 95% but don't bother with the fingering charts as none of them seemed to match the fingering on the instrument! The best approach is to get a tuner app and play to that, then you can see exactly what you are playing, after that it's pretty straight forward.I have the C-Major model and, on this the fingering is broadly similar to my silver flute with a couple of variations.If you are looking to buy a xiao then I would recommend one of these.

IT SHIPS FROM 中国[ CHINA ]IT COMES UNMOUNTED IN THREE PIECES, BUT THE COPPER JOINT CAN BE HARD TO FIT TOGHRETER. SOME SAND PAPER CAN BE HANDY IF THEY ARE HARD TO FIT.THE BLOWING HOLE SHOULD POINT UPWARD MAKING A STRAIIGHT LINE WITH THE 6 HOLES, THE SOUND MAKING IS DIFFICULT BECAUSE THE AIR HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE HOLE AND IN A STRAIGHT LINE AND HAVE TO MATCH PERFECTLY WITH THE 6 HOLES AND THEN THE AIR COMES OUT THOSE HOLES SO DOES IT MAKE SONUD. BUT IT WILL TAKE A MUCH MORE PRACTICE THAN OTHER INSTRUMENTS. WHEN IMPLEMNTED PROPERLY IT MAKES A GOOD & SOOTHING TUNE.
