My original review was negative, because I was sent the wrong scale. The seller immediately contacted me and made amends. The correct scale -- DigiWeigh's "Wallet Scale" model DW600W -- is an interesting little device, and with each of my scale test bars and cylindrical weights it nails them with little hesitation. So far in all my testing, The Wallet Scale has been 100% accurate, though of course it is only displaying up to 0.1 gram in resolution, so accuracy is a little easier to achieve. Most of my scales are accurate to 0.01 or 0.001 gram; even air currents can make them disagree. But a digital scale built to 0.1g accuracy is easier to achieve and can lock in the result with confidence that it's within the + or - .09g rounding error that resolves to the correct 0.1gram.Ok, having established that it's spot-on accurate for its weight class, what is its maximum capacity? Here is the maximum weight, expressed in the four different units it can display. Readings were taken from the display while fully loaded, not converted with a calculator, so any discrepancy could be due to the gram-mass cell's fatigue after a couple of minutes with the same weight on it. In any case, these are the maximum capacities for each unit:600.0 Gram (g.)21.16 Ounce (oz.)19.29 Troy Ounce (ozt)385.74 Pennyweight - (dwt)Incidentally, you'll need to buy a 600 gram calibration weight, or some combination of two or three smaller weights that add up to 600 grams. Calibration is essential to proper function and accuracy.It's nice having a small device that can weigh more than most scales of its size. How much is 600 grams? Weighing on the scale itself:* I can weigh 23 old, worn-out silver dollars, but not 24.* I can weigh an unopened bottle of Virgil's Root Beer (592.4g), but not even a cube of ice more.* Five standard jewel-cased commercial audio CDs, but not 6.* 4 D-Cell flashlight batteries by Duracell, plus one AA penlight battery of the same brand, but not a bit more.Now, why did I order this scale in the first place, and why was I not satisfied when they sent me the wrong scale, even though it had the same capacity and resolution, made by the same company? Because this scale promises to be a Pocket scale. It appeared that you could take it with you into an estate sale or some other venue, and it would be unobtrusive until you whipped it out of its wallet sized holster and weighed those jewels or baseball cards or whatever you think you need one for. Indeed, the wallet that contains it is well-made and convenient, but it's a little large for a pocket, and if you did get it stuffed into your back pocket, you sure wouldn't want to sit on it!The wallet has a (permanently attached) star-shaped bracket that snaps into a belt clip. You could conceivably wear it on your belt, where it would go nicely with your fanny pack, slide rule, and your pocket protector full of pens. Ok, maybe it didn't deserve that comparison. If you need a scale, and you want it to go with you and be convenient to use, this definitely fits the bill. The wallet and belt clip were features that I wanted for when I am at shows and sales. While this may not be my favorite scale, I can see using it as more of a mobile device with a good maximum capacity, but where extremely fine tolerances aren't necessary. All in all it is a very fine scale.The description on this page says something about a metal detector somehow integrated into all this, but I haven't seen any indication of its existence. I bought the scale for its wallet protector and capacity. I'm happy with what I got. Not the best scale you can buy, but certainly competent within its intended range. I have no problem recommending it to others, as long as they know the facts.

Don't get me wrong, the clip on pouch is nice but i didn't need to spend the extra buck for it. All in all very fast and accurate.

Great scale!! Have nothing but Good things to say. Does everything that is claimed. Easy to store and use. Very good value for the price.
