Summary: This is my third brand of chicle/xylitol mint gum and unquestionably the best on a piece-by-piece basis, mostly due to longevity of flavor, which contributes to value as well. Details: Refresh mint is the most expensive xylitol/chicle gum I've tried on a piece-by-piece basis because each case is a few dollars more, and each container in the case only holds 12 pieces (versus ~14 from other brands). Despite that, its still a better value because a single piece holds its flavor quite a bit longer (maybe 2-3x) than 1 or even 2 pieces from other brands. The secret is the unique (at least so far) hard "candy" coating, which creates a burst of flavor up front and contributes to longevity. The trick is to bite through the coating into the gum and embed the former into the latter. The size and chewing consistence of each piece is basically indistinguishable from every others in the category. I haven't encountered any sticking or consistency changes over time that some others have described. Another minor gripe is that they don't include paper to wrap expended gum like certain other brands, but tissues and napkins aren't generally hard to come by. My most biggest complaint is subjective: I don't prefer the "garden mint" flavor versus traditional spear or peppermint. The "garden" flavor comes from the Matcha powder added to the coating (unclear if this includes caffeine) which might turn people off. I understand they're trying to differentiate themselves from a field of identical mint gums, I just think they've already accomplished that with their coating, and would have been better served with a traditional flavor.

I just love chewing gum, especially if I am fidgety and want to eat something just because I'm getting anxious. I really don't like the nasty additives in so many of the foods we consume so where I can avoid it, I do! The flavor does die down from a bright garden-fresh mint to a lighter mint in just a few minutes, but the calm mint then takes on kind of a vanilla flavor as well. The texture is FANTASTIC!!! It doesn't break apart nor does it stick to my fingers if I take it out. You can blow little bubbles with it, squish it between your teeth and it doesn't get stuck. Sure, it is a little more money, and I won't buy it all the time, but I will definitely buy it again and probably in some dif flavors.

Chewing gum helps my anxiety, so having a bunch I can reach for that is non toxic was hard to find. These taste great and the packaging is cute. They do lose flavor faster than normal gum but I don’t mind. I’d say the good chewing flavor lasts about 30 mins and the good chewy texture lasts a few hours before it starts to fall apart. I love them. Definitely try it if you’re looking for a non chemical gum alternative.

So refreshing and not toxic... way better than most human interactions.

The gum is great. However, of the six boxes I bought, four only had 11 pieces of gum and one came with just 10 (the boxes states there should be 12 pieces in each). In addition, the first couple times I ordered, I received them in a cute branded cardboard box. This last time they came taped together with packaging tape, so it was difficult to remove and all the packages were ripped in the process.
