Very happy with this iron!
I waited 10 months before writing this review. I wanted to see how the iron held up to quite a bit of use before reviewing.I really like the quality of this iron. My husband and I iron our clothes daily, sometimes our daughter too. The sole plate is really nice; it glides smoothly over the fabrics. It has a nice weight to it and has a pleasant beep to let you know that the iron is shutting off. It has great steam output with the blast button. I believe the water capacity is much larger in this Viasonic than the Shark brand iron that I owned prior to this one. My Shark iron had started leaking water after 5 years of use. I had not heard of this brand but am very pleased with the quality. I am also glad to support an American company.

Great buy
Wife said it does what she needed it to do, IRON. So I give it a 5 star, bought it 2 months ago and it’s working great, it’s fallen a few times and it’s still working so I’d say I got a winner.

It looks like it’s very well made
This is a decent iron. It looks like it’s very well made, the controls are easy to use, and it’s not too heavy. There are a few minor things I don’t like. First, the printing on the dial is almost the same color as the dial itself, so it’s very hard to read. Second, the housing around the dial is fairly dark, so it’s a little hard to see the water level. Third, the steam holes go around the entire edge, but there are none in the middle. If you move the iron around, then it’s not a problem, but sometimes I find that for small areas, I have to adjust the position to get the steam to go over it. Over all, it’s still a good quality product, and an excellent value for the money.

A Very Good Iron for the Money
I like the quality of this iron. It heats up quickly and does not leak. This is my second viasonic iron. The first one lasted about two years. I wished it lasted longer. However, most irons don't last these days even the expensive ones. I like everything about this iron. It has a big reservoir for water so I am not constantly having to fill it up. It steams nicely. The stainless steel soleplate glides over the fabric. I would buy this again.

Great build quality. Amazing value for an iron that does everything I need it to do
I needed a new steam iron for dressmaking and wanted to try one from a different company. I chose this particular iron because it has a decent amount of wattage, light indicator, large water tank, large stainless steel sole plate and steam feature.I was surprised by how nicely designed and well built the iron was out of the box.I’m very pleased with this iron and find it to be great in value. For under $30, the price can’t be beat.I hope more customers try this iron out.

Don’t hesitate to purchase this!
I am pleasantly surprised with the quality and performance of this iron. Works better than many more expensive ones that I have owned. I wouldn’t hesitate to give it a try.I do agree with other reviewers that the temperature settings could be more visible.

Disappointing purchase
I was excited to purchase this produce; it looked like good value for the money. It has proved to be a disappointment. It's very hard to read the water level. But the most disappointing thing was that the iron leaks from the temperature dial. No amount of wiping would stop the leak. I would not purchase this product again. I'd love to return the product and get my money back.

Works well enough, anyway
As noted above. But then, for something like an iron, there's really only two ways to go here: It either works decently or it doesn't.I hate crappy product design. It's like anything else that's made (created, assembled, what have you): If it's 20 hours' work to do it up right and 18 to get it together but do a lousy job at it... why not just do it up right? This is one of those things that makes you wary about buying ANYTHING without being able to see it in front of you. As other (low-rated) reviews have noted, the settings are crazy difficult to read. Blue-gray print on a brown background? Whose idea was that? I'm really nearsighted and still struggle to see where this is set. And it is very tough to grab the handle without having your knuckles contact the dial and change the temperature setting. Can't speak to the dripping others have mentioned. I don't do much ironing at all, but when I do and need to add some moisture I just use a little spray bottle anyway. Seems to offer more control as to how much water you're putting on.Oh well. But it does work decently.
