Give it 3 and a half stars (see update). The pop filter itself works well. However, the clamp is too flimsy and slides easily on the mic stand (around it, not up and down) unless the clamp is really tightened. Also, the goose-neck takes too much fussing around to get it to stay where it's positioned. If you're not going to move it around too much these annoyances might not bother you.BOTTOM LINE: The pop filter might be "professional premium" but in my opinion the rest is not. I want to position the filter and have it stay there. In the end, it does work and the price is reasonable. In the future I will look for something of higher quality.UPDATE: Bumping up to 4 stars. After using this for awhile I've found that it works MUCH better when it is arching downward instead of sideways or upward. So it works good when the flexible arm makes an 'n' shape but not as well for a '-' or a 'u' shape if that makes sense. Given the price, I'd buy another.

Sturdy

I've gone through a few filters in the past and I've mainly stuck to the cheaper ones when ordering/purchasing. In the end they all ended up the same; fell apart, weak clamp/gooseneck, flimsy filter etc. So after the nylon tore in my last one, I figured I’d invest in a pop filter rather than having to keep on replacing the cheapos.Here’s my take on the filter:The clamp is strong and is able to withstand the weight of the head without stooping or loosing position for a long period of time. The gooseneck is strong and gives enough flexibility to maneuver around while keeping its position for a long session. I felt that shipping took a little longer, especially since it apparently ships locally. Other than that, it perfectly complements my set up and does exactly what I need it to do.

Kids found this on amazon and wanted it for their karaoke machine and recordings. I gave in and they crack me up using it. They seems so serious and professional. I checked into it, this is studio grade design and I got interested enough that I had them run a test. You can tell the difference even in our non-technical equipment. This gets my recommendation!

The filter works great to protect my microphone and stops the microphone from getting wet with spit. A must have for any professional or novice audiophile who makes recordings with high value mics.
