Wood needs to be checked
Overall the rocking horse was of food quality. However, I had to sand the rockers that had some rough cuts. Had it not been a Christmas gift for my grandaughter, and close to the day, I might have returned the horse.I got everything smoothed out and varnished, and my grandaughter loves her horse,

Easy to assemble but the wood could use a little sanding.
