Bojagi: The Art of Korean Textiles

I love this book. It was pre-ordered on a whim after I got interested in bojagi on a course. This book is inviting from the first historical details, through seam and stitch variety, to the lovely and less common projects created with Korean culture in mind. I've started on the wind chimes. Bojagi is a very relaxing type of hand sewing which can be replicated on a machine, if you wish.

I wish I had a chance to be in one of Ms. Lee’s classes. I pre-ordered and her beautiful book (from Amazon.de) has finally arrived. The step by step instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Many of the projects are stylish and modern. I particularly like the lotus leaf mat and the boat coaster projects. All in all, this is a wonderful textile handcraft book for all skill levels.

Sou uma apaixonada por Bojagi, como por livros em geral e a maneira como a encomenda chegou a minha casa, deixa qualquer colecionador de livros irritado! Os cantos do livro deviam estar protegidos e/ou este devia ter sido embrulhado num plástico de bolanhas para não ser danificado durante a viagem e isso não aconteceu, como podem ver pelas fotos.Contudo, o conteúdo do livro em si é maravilhoso e é por esse motivo que dou 4*, pois caso contrário daria apenas 2*.
