The wool is itself dirt-repellent, i.e. the dirt settles on the surface. This is because the wool with natural fats. One tip if you want to refresh the cat house is to aerate it when it is a bit humid outside. Hereby "purify" it themselves. Wipe dirt and dust off with a clean, dry cloth. Use a vacuum.
