Great and Easy to Adapt!
Okay so I needed this for the front of my desk. So I needed to make a small adjustment to make it not stick up intrusively! As you can see from the last picture. I sawed the bit I don't need off, and it took me about 5 mins of light sawing, it's quite sturdy actually and I was surprised it's actually supported inside and not completely hollow!I need this for my art pad, and I wasn't willing to pay for the expensive art pad branded arm! So far this lets me turn my pad most ways, though I've realised it doesn't 360 tilt which is a little bit 'eh' but it's not something I actually have to do a lot! It tilts most directions but just not a full rotation, if that makes sense. It's my first foray into this sort of thing so I have a feeling I may end up replacing it for a full tilt device BUT I'm -very- happy with this so far!I did have trouble with it first time around and had to send it back. So be mindful with the bolt that secures the plate for the screen/laptop in place as it seems it -can- get stuck if you're not extremely careful with it? I think the metal very easily mashes the plastic inserts and you'll end up with a forever spinning bolt that can't be removed without a drill of some sort! The second time around I was featherlight careful to try to not tighten it in any way tightly and it's great the plate holding the screen is very secure too.

Simple & elegant
Easy to setup, my desk has rectangular metal sections only 20mm wide running under the desktop running right where the until should clamp on, but a couple of wood spacers of the same depth (40mm) behind the section gave enough surface area to allow the clamps to do their job. The bars combined with the extra desktop thickness (26mm) also make it quite thick & required use of the extra screw holes in the backplate to move the clamps down and extra 10mm (not sure why they don't just have it like that as standard slightly longer threads, but sure there's a good reason).Otherwise installing it was smooth sailing & love the clip in VESA mounts making it super easy to bolt to the screen and then just slot it down onto in the arm bracket; a pleasant change from having to balance the monitor on one hand while faffing with trying get the first screw started.Unit is clean and elegant; desk setup has the rear of the desk facing out into the room & a lot of the other stands I looked at all made the base look pretty but started to look knobbly at the elbows and/or arm ends - the ThingyClub stand is almost a work of art by comparison.Stand is sturdy also, I get slight wobble on the tip of the laptop monitor when I'm fidgeting, but I have the tray almost vertical like a book stand with the laptop screen stretched back as far as it will go so not surprising. The actual monitor, 30" super-wide & sitting right at the top of the pole, is super stable. The one feature I miss is the ability to rotate vertically, e.g. to put the monitor on it's side - can obviously be achieved by repositioning the VESA mount, but e.g. on the laptop arm it feels like the screen is not quite straight - it probably is, but would be nice to be able to adjust it nonetheless - but it's not a feature it's meant to have so can't really complain!

Works as expected and look good, but with some limitations.
My use: I have a narrow (in terms of width - front/back distance) desk and needed a bracket to hold laptop (14") and monitor (27") to maximise available desk space. Also in matte black to suit my desk setup colours. The Good: Nice matte black metal parts (main shaft and arms) with some plastic slightly glossy parts on the arms - also available in silver (although the plastic parts are an off white colour which I don't looks that good against the matte silver metal). Construction seems fairly sturdy once built and quality is reasonable. It didn't seem cheap to me (£63.86 in early Jan 2021) but there weren't many competing products at the time of purchase. Fairly easy to install following the provided instructions and allen keys, nuts and bolts etc.The Bad: The joints may require some frequent tweaking (can get too stiff or too loose quite easily) with the provided allen keys and there are limited options in terms of height and angle of the laptop and monitor arms. Also, the laptop arm can be modified (need to purchase/add a vesa mount) to a vesa monitor arm but the heights won't be at the same level, so would be an imbalanced dual monitor set-up (to be fair it wasn't advertised to be dual monitor). It was advertised as scratch resistant but I did manage to scratch a couple areas of the metal parts.Overall: Good product that does the job as advertised and with no real competing products in terms of looks, price and function at time of purchase (early Jan 2020 - sold by ThingyClub, fulfilled by Amazon) but there are some limitations.

Really pleased
This product is brilliant. What I found really useful is the that the arms can be slotted in reverse, and this was necessary for me to allow the laptop stand to be as low as possible near to the desk. Honestly really pleased. Very good quality and met my needs fully. The arms also have cable management so it looks neat. Personally think the instructions could have been better but it is mostly self explanatory.
