Clearview Stoves Heat Resistant Stove Paint BLACK

First off a caveat, I used this to respray an old Clearview wood burner I got from eBay, so it was used on home turf. I first tried something called Rustoleum, which although cheap, was frankly awful, so I thought I might have bitten off more than I could chew with my wood burner restoration project. I then purchased what I should have purchased in the first place, this stuff covers really well and quickly dried to a homogenous Matt surface, with no runs even on vertical surfaces, it also covers amazingly well, even on the guys of the stove, such as the grate and hearth, both of which looked to be in poor condition but sprayed up really well. In short, pay a little extra, get the proper paint, and you’ll have a stove that looks as good as new in next to no time.

5 stars for the paint as it covers really well and someone with no experience of spray painting will still get excellent results. Only gave 3 stars this time as the spray can didn't work - it was the plastic spray head and not the actual valve in the can that was faulty - luckily I had a spare one from my old spray can which got it working and saved me having to return it.

I use it on a mild steel exhaust on a motorcycle. It lasts a year before needing respraying. On my stove it lasts forever

Best stuff for stoves.

After spraying my flue pipe with the product, the patch where the original paint had disappeared looked perfect. However the next time I lit the stove, the patch re-appeared! It was as though the paint just evaporated. Very unimpressed.
