Very unnecessary long read
This is a long book, 67 chapters worth of being a total dirty old man and his antics with barely legal conquests. The whole acting is just bit parts or extras, usually going to someone who had hit the big time or stage shows. He comes across as being a sleaze bag, when he uses 'we' when he talks about the Chili Peppers too. This could have been edited by at least half of the content.

Amazing! What a life!
What an amazing life with ups and downs but I believe without this lifestyle, Anthony wouldn't be the man he is today. Sad to hear Blackie has progressive dementia but thanks for your generous insight to your wonderful life.

Hard Work
His pretentious language really grates, but maybe that's just with me. It's like he's trying to sound like a Beatnik poet or something. No real discernible talent to speak of, and I'm up to about 1990 in the book and he's still yet to do a proper day's work. He worshipped his son - even calling him The Messiah at one point - but not enough to give him a proper childhood. I'm afraid I find the man pretty annoying, which is a shame because I think his son is a great frontman and hugely charismatic. I gave his son's book 5 stars, I'll give this the benefit of the doubt with 2

A Loathsome Fellow
Bought this book because I'd previously read Anthony Kiedis' Scar Tissue and thouroughly enjoyed it. However, John Kiedis comes across as a womanising, drug taking, selfish fame whore. Seems to me he wants us all to read his book and and think his detestable exploits were cool. Without his famous son no one would know who he is.Spend your money on his son's book if you haven't already.

I did not read this book
I bought this book by accident after reading the sample, I told Amazon I did not want it and they quickly took it off my Kindle.
