Works great!
This cut my job time in half! The goats accepted the sound easily and stood still during trimming. Easier than it looked in the training video.

Should have bought this sooner!
This product is great. TheIr customer service is awesome and quick to respond. There is a learning curve but once you get the hang of it, it’s so much easier than using clippers.Pro tips: be sure to wear the eye protection that is included, it throws hoof shards like tiny little bullets. Not surprising since it is a grinder. Also get a pair of gloves and wear them every time. If the animal kicks or pulls at the right moment, your skin is no match for this thing (not that I know that from experience ;) what can I say I’m stubborn). Last buy an extra chain disk, after two goats or so it needs sharpened (not hard to do but slows down the process).

I'm Left handed
I'm still learning to use the Goat Hoof Trimmer, it does an amazing job on hard to trim hoofs. I'm left handed and the sheers never worked well for me. This electric trimmer is superior for me. I've used it left handed BUT the company recommends it to be used right handed. I am training myself to use it with the right hand. I found it important to follow all the safety recommendations like gloves and eye shield (which comes with the kit) The hooves are trimmed fast and the soles are flat when done. I'm glad to know that my goats will never have any foot/ alignment problems. Well worth the cost in my opinion. It's not a chore to trim anymore.

very good product
Hoofboss is very expensive looks as though they took a goose neck grinder and put a Hoofboss label on it and inflated the price but, since I had no idea what I was doing I ordered the smaller kit for goats. my friend came over and I watcher her use it and it looks fairly easy to use WEAR GLOVES they saved he hand on a slip. I will continue to use the product but if I have to replace I will purchase a mini goose neck grinder and the sanding pads as I do not like the chain wheel overall a great product

Hoofboss it's worth the money save your lower back it's a lot faster then clippers
Bought the hoof boss was expensive for me anyways what used to take me 4hrs with 20 goats I ran through the goats way faster then I thought do follow the directions eye wear is a must hoof chunks fly in all directions I would but it again this little grinder went to town on the hoofs of the goats I have nothing bad to say about this product.

So worth it
It is a great product. Just be careful to watch the small guard around the wheel, it likes to bend easily. We rescue goats and now it is easier to trim their hoofs. It’s faster and more precise. But listen to your wife and wear leather gloves so you don’t take half of your thumb off when you have a skittish goat. Gloves are highly recommended!!

Seems like this tool is getting better over its competitors.
I do not own this tool as of yet. However I will buy one to try it out. This tool looks just like the king Arthur and proxxon wood carving tools. I really like both. Durability is my only issue. Two problems seem to arise. First is the switch on both king Arthur and proxxon goes out way to fast. I've bipassed the cheap one that comes with the tool and put in a in cord one works great. Over heating is another problem. Proxxon over heats quickly. King Arthur has added extra cooling slots this helps some. It appears that the hoof boss has a completely different switch hopefully that gets ride of the switch issue. As far as over heating hopefully hoof boss has addressed this problem also. Another thing that would be nice is to replace the plastic gears inside with heavier duty or metal this would help with durability. It appears that hoof boss has addressed some of the problems other brands have while keeping the price point about the same. Time will tell the whole story.

Definitely ups your hoof game!
Purchased the corded version on the recommendation of my vet. We have a couple goats that had extremely poor feet when I got them. My farrier had made great improvements as she works with natural conformation but we had seemed to reach a plateau. With the hoof boss we have been able to make more incredible strides in getting their hoofs balanced, their feet healthy and in the case of the one that had more severe issues, she hardly limps at all any more. It is definitely worth the price and I will be getting the cordless version (just for more ease of use) as soon as I can convince my husband that 2 would be better. I can’t “accidently” break it, because they are pretty sturdy. It’s like a mini grinder, a bit bigger than a Dremel but much more power- I know because I tried my husbands Dremel tool 1st! I’ve had it for a least 6 months now and I am still using the same grinding wheel, it doesn’t seem worn down at all.
