My apartment building has their dryer duct routed in a very weird way that doesn't allow for adequate air flow so my dryer kept giving me error codes saying it was clogged. It was just that the vent was too long of a run. This fits right next to my dryer, it's super easy to setup, easy to clean, functions great with the dryer. Maintenance is easy. Cleaning the lint is so simple, just refill the reservoir and shake the filter. Strong plastic.

When I was younger, my mom had one similar to this in our apartment and it worked well. Fast forward 35 years and my family and I moved in to my in-laws house due to necessity for my mother-in-law. Hooked up the washer and dryer and very soon afterwards the dryer wouldn't work. I looked at a few places trying to find this and finally found this 1 here on Amazon. Aside from the plastic being flimsy, I couldn't ask for a better product. Works awesome, my wife and daughters are happy, I'm happy and most important, the clothes are getting dried!

This is a good little unit for the winter time in our house. It is easy to hook up and it keeps the dust inside of the unit with the filters that it comes with. It is nice to have the extra heat in the winter. Thank You

Was easy to set up to compact dryer unit, does produce a moister heat but works for me in these colds months to the home. Not sure if it would be recommended for indoor use in summer as stated produces moisture in air and some heat. The heat is not a lot so not sure how it would affect temp in house during summer months. Came with all the fixings to adequately fit to dryer. Very satisfied

We are in the process of installing this handy device now. The hose you can buy (extra) is total junk. It is made of paper (not like the metal one you’re already using on your dryer). We couldn’t get it on if we had wanted to since it tore immediately.… So, this device has to be upright (because it holds water), but it is small, flimsy and light. When you use your dryer (and air goes into/ through this thing), it will fall over, the top will pop off, and the dirty water goes all over. But wait, there is a wall mount bracket that comes with it! (You probably can’t use that either- trying to install it on the wall mount broke the lid to the device/ bucket .) This whole thing is so janky, it’s almost completely unusable. (For the record, my husband is a toolmaker, and really truly understands how all of this works/ is supposed to work….) We have a dryer vent situation that requires we cut a hole in the dining room ceiling to repair, and we don’t want to do that until Christmas is over (it’s Nov 12 today). So we’re using this junky device as a very temporary band aid to allow us to dry clothes for a couple of months before we do an actual repair.Things that may help you if you ignore this whole review and buy this junky device anyway…1. Do not pay extra for the hose, it won’t work anyway.2. You probably also won’t have any luck attaching this thing to a wall. Get a couple of heavy bottles of laundry detergent/ bleach so you can “barricade” the bucket into an upright position. (Otherwise it will fall over when you run the dryer.)3. If it does fall over and break immediately (as mine did), refill it and tape the lid back on to the bucket with duct tape. (You’ll need more later as you have to occasionally refill the water.)Not a great device. It also (as you may have guessed…) causes the laundry area to heat up a LOT. The humidity in the area increases a lot also. I would think if you fry a lot this device would result in a mold problem.If you can afford/ have the time to deal with a real fix for your dryer vent, just go for it. This thing is a total piece of junk and probably shouldn’t even be used for a short period of time.

I bought this to go with my Black & Decker portable dryer. It was easy to put together. It was easy to attach to the dryer and as an added incentive since I couldn’t really put it near a window or anything, I said it on top of my stove and turn on my Hood vent so that the hood draws all the moisture and the additional heat through the stove vent so I’m quite happy with it. It works well for me.

I was able to use the bucket and filter the seller sent but had to use my own parts to supplement and replace those the manufacturer sent. I used my own duct and O-rings as the ones sent were flimsy and too small for the filter (duct) and too large to secure the the duct to the dryer or the filter (O-rings not the usual sturdy metal with a long screw to capably attach a duct but easily cuttable metal with a strange screw device which did not adjust). I bought two thinking to use one in the barn and one in the house. I will be returning the extra and be on the hunt for a better water filter. Don't be like me and go for the cheap option.

Useful for venting small clothes dryer inside!

We had a model without filters and found that lint ended up flying everywhere. This one does a good job of trapping the lint, but also cooling down the air that comes out. While it still gets hot in the room, it's a lot better than with the cheaper model that had no foam filter.All in all, it's still not a design I would pick (better to have an extractor that goes outside) but as a renter this is tons better than cheaper versions.

For the job it is to be used for it is perfect, small, compact and easy to mount on the wall.

Very straight forward to install it and use it. Keep in mind that using this instead of venting outside does make the laundry room hot and humid. I recommend putting a dehumidifier in the room with it.
