Get the Behavior You Want... Without Being the Parent You Hate!: Dr. G's Guide to Effective Parenting Paperback – 30 Sept. 2014

I have only recently started reading this book and am a few chapters in. I wanted a bit of help to do basically what the title of the book is!The author is American so there are a couple of things that aren't entirely relevant in the way she writes (calling adults by Sir/Ma'am, very American), but otherwise, everything I have read so far just really takes you back to basics and almost gives lighhtbulb moments of 'why didn't I think of that before!'. It is simple things like teaching respect, ensuring politeness and thinking of how you want your children to be as adults.I have already started implementing many of the points mentioned in the book and am looking forward to gaining more knowledge the more of the book I read.I would highly recommend this to any parent who is struggling to get their message across to their children and just need a little bit of help and guidance, rather than speaking to a friend who will of course have a perfect child who does no wrong!
