I highly recommend this for any aquarium. You don’t have to worry about the mesh coming undone since this is metal The little hatch is perfect for feeding and the top fits well on top of the aquarium. Please note if you have pump cords or heater cords that come out at the top, the lid will be snug

Already have one in this design. It is my favorite as it is super sturdy and the hinged door in the center makes it easy to access the enclosure without critters escaping. Lids that have to be completely lifted have resulted in escaped pets who died as a result. Also, those with plastic edges crack easily.

That this was a most excellent deal! Fits great. Seemed a little flimsy but once on, my cat sat on it with no boeing. The trap door had no pull handle so I put a drawer know on. So cute! Holding up well to the heat lamp. No complaints here! (*except no knob on trap door) other than that excellent!!!!

Lid fits and works as expected. Protects our pet frog from our curious cats. We do have a cat that tries to open the door, but has not mastered the latch. We paired with screen clips from Zilla for added security!

Bought to securely close my Cali king snake's 10 gallon (he's a baby still) while still allowing me access for feeding and maintenance. I also purchased the lid locks to ensure a tight and snug fit and together I have pretty good peace of mind my snake won't escape. I did tape up the edges, the gaps were a bit larger than I liked for safety. Tape is cheap and I modify all my lids in this way so I'm not worried about it. Would purchase again!

The screen cover itself seems sturdy and fits well- 5 stars.But the door and latch are flimsy, cheap, and not suitable for snakes.One- the latching piece hits the top edge of the tank, and cannot be completely latched with the cover on the tank. Off the tank, it works, but….,Two- one latch in the center of a flimsy door? Whoever designed this has never had snakes. It’s way too easy to push one corner up far enough for a snake to get his head through- and if he gets his head through, he’s gone. My corn snakes have gotten out this way.There has to be a latch at each corner, or the door has to be stiff enough so that it can’t twist. A heavy weight over the door might work too, but that pretty much defeats the convenience of having the door there at all.UPDATE- Theres an easy fix. Bend the door up slightly at the center so the latch is slightly preloaded. The latch works much better, and the corners of the door won’t lift up. No more escapes!

A friend gave me her 29 gallon fish tank as a new home for my ball python. I picked up this lid to go with it.Pros:-Fits my tank perfectly.-The hatch makes getting my snake in and out soooo much easier than my old tank (which simply had clamps on the lid). I'm never buying a screen without a hatch again.-Materials used to make the screen are very nice.Cons:-I found it difficult to get the clamps onto my tank. Maybe it's just my tank, but it took a while. That said, once they're on, there's no problem. It's easy to clamp them on and off the screen itself, so cleaning my tank isn't a problem. I just leave the clamps on the tank and remove the lid entirely.
