OK, I'm not mad, but they smell lovelyNo taste and easy to take. No idea if they will have any effect but time will tell.:0)

I was taking this for peripheral neuropathy and although I got cramps, the injury that was suppose to take about six months to recover, took about 3 months

Good product but was told not to use them as didn't go well with other meds. Its a shame

I have taken Alpha Lipoic Acid tablets for about six months. I have read some interesting facts about ALA and its benefits appeared to me to be worth pursuing. As with most supplements it's quite difficult to accurately assess how beneficial various supplements are being, but I have had no detectable problems with ALA during the time I have been taking them.My normal dosage is 650mg (in capsule form) and I had some concerns as to whether I wanted to go up to 1000mg per day. Then I read someone's comments that the 1000mg dosage is actually made up of two 500mg capsules. I do think that the main product description doesn't make that abundantly clear, but actually, having considered the 2 x 500mg capsules I think this may be better for my needs as I can decide whether to take one or two capsules. One capsule would be a little less than my normal dosage, and 2 caspules would be approaching twice my normal daily dose.On the subject of the product description heading, I had presumed that the 120 capsules mentioned would equate to nearly 4 months supply but actually, if you need to take the two capsules per day to get the 1000mg dose then of course the supply will only last you about two months. This does, in my opinion, make these capsules a little on the expensive side. Having said that the 'highly purified' (99%+) is impressive and so this product does sound like it's top quality, and each batch is tested according to the manufacturer.The tub I received has a very generous expiry date printed on the base and I like that the package is double sealed. Normally I prefer United Kingdom manufactured and produced supplements. I notice that the Toniiq tub has a UK address on it but the country of origin appears to be the USA. I am fine with that.Overall I am impressed with this product. I like the purity statements and the capsules are nice and easy to swallow (much my preferred method of taking supplements/vitamins). I do think that the price may be a little higher than I would normally pay but I appreciate the high manufacturing standards probably drive this pricing level. I also do feel that the fact that the 1000mg dose is only achievable by taking two capsules would be helpful if it was made clear in the heading.

I noticed an all-around improvement since taking these capsules, and the price is good. One a day seems enough. Highly recommended

These supplements come in nice looking, toniiq branded, plastiic jar, that measures 7.9cm tall with a diameter of 7.3cm. The plastic used in the bottle is polyethylene terephthalate (PET or PETE), which should be widely recyclable.The jar arrives sealed in an easy to open, clear plastic wrap. There is no childproof lock on the lid of the jar. The inner seal is quite tough to peel off, so might require scissors or a knife. It’s good to see that the capsules completely fill the jar, with very little wasted space.The capsules themselves are 2.3cm long with a diameter of 0.8cm. Whilst an easy to swallow shape, they are a little larger than some other capsules, so might prove difficult to swallow for some.According to the directions, the dosage is 2 capsules per day. This means that as the jar contains 120 tablets, there should be enough to last approximately two months.Each capsule is said to contain 500mg Alpha Lipoic Acid 99% (Thioctic acid). So one serving (2 capsules) contains 1000mg.According to the label the other ingredients are: Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vegetable Capsule (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose), Microcrystalline Cellulose, Vegetable Magnesium Stearate & Silicon Dioxide.These supplements are not suitable for either Vegans or Vegetarians.The jar I received had a best before date of 20 months from the time I received it.In conclusion, it is always hard to recommend supplements, because what works for one may not work for another. However, for anyone wanting to take Alpha Lipoic Acid, these capsules are a perfectly fine way to try it. The 1000mg dosage is quite high, so you might want to check whether you need that high of a dose. That being said, it should be noted that this dosage is achieved by taking two 500mg capsules, so if you only require a smaller dosage, you could look at these capsules as a 4 month supply of 500mg, instead of a 2 month supply of 1000mg.~ Amazon asked me to review this product and to give my honest and impartial opinion about it. I use ALA to help with diabetic neuropathy and as an immune booster. ALA is also a potent anti-inflammatory supplement that really works. Two years ago I had quite severe insulin resistance which went undetected. My nerve endings tingled and it was initially put down to vitamin B malabsorption. Eventually, they did a sugar test and I had too much sugar in my blood. The traditional doctor told me that my nerve endings had been damaged and that there was nothing I could do but take painkillers.Having been involved in the supplement business for many years, I did a tonne of research and eventually realised that taking 3 X 400mg of ALA daily could help alleviate nerve end pain and possibly reverse the neuropathy. It took about 8 months but the nerve endings stopped being painful and everything seemed to go back to normal. I take a maintenance dose of ALA every day. This product is so strong only 1 tablet is needed. It is strong and works very well.This product works very well. I do not have any issues with neuropathy and it also boosts my immune system. I take one a day and it does exactly what it is intended to do.Overall this is a good product that works well. I am very happy to recommend it.
