One of the best purchases I’ve made! I bought the book light because my bed side table lamp it’s so dim that I have to use the ceiling light, which is far away and casting light from the back of the book. So, to summarize, I needed a book light that would be compact enough and bright enough for me to use it and to not need the additional lights in the room to read. Well this book light has done that and more. I’ve used it for the last week every day and it’s still going strong. The three dim settings are a plus and although I’ve only used the brighter settings, it’s still pretty bright after a full week’s worth of use. Additionally, it’s compact, sturdy, and small enough for travel. I stashed it in a side pocket of my backpack and went through the x-ray and security checkpoint machines at the airport with no problem. Came out safe and undamaged. If you need a good and reliable book light that is compact, and well made, this is the item for you.

This is a great book light. Its compact and I'm very pleased with how bright it is. It has 3 different lighting effects and a brightness button. Plus, the light swivels to cover both pages. Great product. Will buy another one.

If you search reviews for a great book light, the glocusent seems to make the top-5 lists more often whereas this 86lux goes unmentioned. I bought both to compare and in my view, the 86lux is the better option of the two for these reasons: - usb-c charging is modern and ubiquitous compared to a male usb-a plug - the warm setting at 2700K is much more pleasant than the orange-toned 1800K (which is quite unnatural) - 3 brightness levels is simpler to use than cycling through 5 - metal book clip as opposed to plastic - thinner and sleeker It's not perfect and there are a few minor things that could be improved: an increase in beam width would be appreciated for books larger than paperback novels (it's not quite as wide as depicted in some of the promotional pics), and a separate on/off button would be nice to have for convenience (it's currently bundled with the light color modes and you have to cycle through a total of 4 before it turns off again). Minor nits. Overall a wonderful book light that is underrated.

I have enjoyed using this light so far. The brightness settings are decent. The size is perfect for traveling. I have had to charge it a little after 30 hours though. When I charged it, the back got really hot, which is worrisome with little kids running around.

Love this little light! Works perfect for late night reading without disrupting my husband while he sleeps next to me. The three different light functions are nice and all have adjustable dimness. I also enjoy how you can rotate the light head itself. I’ve used it for a couple nights now and still have not had to charge it so battery life is an improvement from my last light I was using that needed daily charging. And the size is perfect just being able to slip right on a book so using a stand or not it’s very convenient with how sturdy it stays once clipped in. Any book lover would appreciate!

This cute little light is a book lover's dream. It's compact, light in weight and I adore the dusky pink colour that I have chosen. It comes with a short USB lead, no instuctions (there is some small writing on the box but it is so very small you would need a magnifying glass to read) but you won't need as it so straight forward to operate. The USB needs to plugs into the unit quite firmly and a small red light shows when charging. The red light turns off when fully charged and ready to go. Just slide the large paperclip like clip into a handful of pages. If you spend a little time familiarising yourself how to do this properly you shouldn't damage any of your pages. There are 2 small buttons. The lower one is the on/off button and also toggles through 3 different colour temperatures. The top buttons toggles through 3 intensities of light. The small buttons can be fiddly, especially when half asleep. Your can adjust the angle to your preference and the light head swivels so that it illuminates both and left and right hand side page equally. There is a vast array of colours to choose from.

Fab little light. I'll be honest, I did underestimate this light. My eyes also deceived me and I ordered 'brown' instead of black - hey ho. You, know, the colour is a lovely muted rose/bronze/brown colour and it's really quite nice. It makes a nice change from black. Brightness, yes, as described it does do 3 intensities as well as cool, warm and in-between, and they are just right: easy on the eyes for night time reading. Now I can actually! get that book read! What I like about this is that it is indeed light weight, but it also feels good quality in the hand imo. It is also light enough not to be weighing down a mere paperback book. The head is super easy to move, goes in all sort of directions and does not fall out of place. I like that it is rechargeable - I nearly bought one that needed batteries - shudder! In the pictures I have the light set to warm, on the lowest setting, and on a paperback book slightly smaller than A5 and its hooked on the back paper cover and two pages, and it's held fast. Not going anywhere. In all, I'd highly recommend this. Nice colour too. 5/5

Molto gradevole questa lampada da lettura 86Lux , E' fornita in piccola confezione, sul cui retro ci sono anche le istruzioni molto semplici per l'uso (in lingua inglese). Nella confezione troviamo: - la lampada; - un cavetto USB C – USB A, lungo circa 20 cm. All'interno della lampada è presente una batteria ricaricabile (tramite la presa USB-C) di capacità non dichiarata (dato il peso non eccessivamente "potente"ma sufficiente per diverse ore). La potenza dell'unico led è di circa 2.5 Watt. La lampada è costruita con parti in metallo, alluminio e plastica. Può illuminare con tre tonalità di luce: - calda - intermedia - fredda. La luce può essere regolata su tre livelli di intensità predefiniti o continuamente. Il livello di intensità viene memorizzato e ripristinato ad ogni accensione. Il fissaggio della lampada sul libro avviene tramite clip, molto comodo, tipo "attach", su uno spessore massimo di circa 8-10 mm (di fatto il fissaggio ottimale è sulla copertina o al massimo con una ventina di pagine. La lampada da da chiusa le seguenti misure: H 115mm, L 33mm, P 13mm, per un peso totale di circa 50 grammi. La lampada è dotata sul lato sinistro di una presa USB-C per la ricarica mentre sul lato destro troviamo due pulsanti che, oltre all'accensione, eseguono altre funzioni utili. 1) Il tasto in basso accende la lampada con la tipologia di luce calda, premendolo più volte seleziona le altre due tonalità, intermedia, fredda e spegne la lampada. 2) Il tasto in altro premuto in sequenza seleziona i livelli di intensità predefiniti (basso - medio – alto), tenendolo premuto di continuo imposta il livello di intensità in modalità continua, in un senso o nell'altro. Mi è piaciuta molto, anche poi il colore che le foto non gli rendono merito. C'è, nella semplicità, la sensazione di solidità nonostante la notevole leggerezza (circa 45 grammi). Ha un uso veramente intuitivo nelle funzionalità di base. La tipologia di luce calda è molto gradevole. Anche molto gradita la possibilità di regolare i livelli di intensità manualmente. L'autonomia e di circa 6/7 ore alla massima intensità e la ricarica completa richiede circa un'ora. Non sono in grado di verificare se ha un sistema di protezione per evitare la scarica completa della batteria che si potrebbe danneggiare. Purtroppo un design di questo tipo sacrifica un po la uniformità di illuminazione a basse intensità ma è troppo comoda per considerarlo un difetto. La doppia angolazione della testa sopperisce egregiamente alla carenza. L'attuale costo di circa 10 euro, nonostante sia sempre parco nelle mie valutazioni, mi permette di assegnarle 5 stelle. La confezione contiene semplicemente la lampada ed un cavetto usb-A to usb-C per la ricarica. Il design è originale e accattivante, la scelta dei materiali metallici comporta una sensazione di resistenza e stabilità strutturale a discapito del peso, che comunque, una volta innestato sulla copertina, viene ben bilanciato dalla clip larga e profonda. Unica possibile debolezza strutturale, che temo che in seguito ad un lungo uso possa allentarsi e mantenere meno la posizione, è la testina rotante. La clip gira quasi di 270°, mentre la testina con il Led è in grado di piegarsi in avanti di più di 50° e di girare su se stessa a 360°, permettendo di sfruttare un’ampia gamma di posizioni e rendere più facile l’illuminazione del libro. Sul lato sono presenti due tasti: uno che permette l’accensione/spegnimento e la selezione del colore (luce calda/fredda/neutra) e l’altro che regola l’intensità (alta/media/bassa). Sono soddisfatto con la quantità di luce che viene proiettata e specialmente nella dimensione del cono di luce, sicuramente maggiore rispetto ad altre lampade da lettura simili, con una testina più piccola. L’ho testata innestandola su libri di diversa dimensione e spessore, per valutarne la comodità e non ho notato differenze, né problemi relativi al cambio di appoggio: l’orientamento della testina rende facile illuminare le pagine indipendentemente dalle condizioni e dimensioni. Quando non in uso può comunque rimanere attaccata alla copertina del libro, piegata su se stessa senza comportare un ingombro eccessivo. Segnalo però che si rischia di rovinare la copertina del libro nel punto di attacco della lucina perché, essendo una clip in metallo non protetta, può portare a pieghe fastidiose, quindi consiglio di non fare troppa forza nel cercare di incastrare la luce al suo posto! (p.s. eventualmente, staccata dal suo libro, può rivelarsi una comoda lucina di emergenza da attaccare con la clip ai vestiti, ad un cappello o da posizionare su un piano, molto comoda!)
