Teeccino Dandelion Dark Roast, Gluten-Free

I was looking for a coffee alternative and was encouraged by the description of this as herbal coffee. First let me say this is nothing like coffee. What you get is a brown drink with an odd taste and slightly bitter overtones. I have tried it with and without milk, with and without honey and my conclusion is that while it is just about drinkable, it isn't enjoyable, and I won’t be buying any more.

I really like these, they taste good for a coffee substitute

I have been consuming coffee for over 20 years, and due to health reasons I had to quit my absolute favorite morning beverage "coffee". I took a 2 week hiatus from consuming anything caffeinated, when I brewed my first cup of Teeccino I was more than happy to have something other than a fruit tea. I didn't go into my first experience with Teeccino thinking it would be identical to coffee, but I was pleasantly surprised how good it tastes. There are notes of chicory that definitely makes a connection to coffee. I leave the bag in while I drink a cup of Teeccino using 10 oz of hot water because I like strong tasting tea and coffee. The steeping process for increasing the strength to my liking takes a little bit longer than a regular tea bag does. In the end I am more than happy with this alternative and I'm excited knowing each cup brings me prebiotics and immune support because as I age all those benefits are important to me. ❤ Also, no bad coffee breath after consuming a cup! Haha
