Don't buy!
I have bought this brand of sheets before, only the 1200 thread count and I could not have been more disappointed in these. It wasn't just the roughness of them that was rather disappointing, I could've dealt with that. After I washed them one time they no longer fit my king bed! The seams started ripping on two of the corners and they were just entirely too small and we do not have an oversize mattress. My friend also bought them on right my recommendation and hers did the exact same thing. Veratex in the higher threadcount's seem to be good the last time I bought them but this was a huge disappointment.

Very nice sheets
Very high quality sheets. Plenty soft, not too thick. I've washed them a few times and they are getting softer each time just as expected. I wanted to try the 1200tc, but was scared off by the reviews about how heavy they were so I compromised and tried these and so far am very happy. I have a king size Tempurpedic and they are plenty deep, no struggle getting them on at all.
