Moves some air!
I got this fan to replace my existing Maradyne fan that I thought had finally given up after six years. Turns out the relay was bad. I installed this fan in the existing hole. It didn't come with the plastic pieces the bolts go through but I was able to reuse the old ones. I installed a new relay and temp switch rather than sending unit. The fan really moves some air. It's a little noisy but I don't care, I want cooling air. I have a blown sbc in my 41 Willys and with the AC on it can get warm in traffic. This fan comes on at 190 and drops the temp in a couple minutes just idling. It's a little longer than my original so the motor just clears the ID of my lower blower pulley. I'm going to cut a half inch out of the fan shroud to give a little more clearance.I'd recommend this fan for any big motor combination. Do be aware that it can pull about 18 amps so you need a good alternator.I also used 10 ga wire for the fan circuit....I didn't want any voltage drop.

Nice fan, not too loud
Works with e46 m3 in an offset configuration but not in the center of the radiator, deeper than a SPAL but barely fits. Nice fan, not too loud. I suggest wiring to a 30A relay that triggers off of the brown wire on the AUX fan. Use 12AWG wiring and fuse.

Maradyne MC162K fan review
The Maradyne MC162K looks to be made of quality material. After installing and testing the fan has an excessive vibration. I have tried to contact Maradyne customer support to tell them about my concern of fan longivity due to excessive out of balance condition but they will not respond. Maradyne states in the description of their fans that they are all balanced but the one I purchased definitly was not balanced correctly.
