Really useful and did some great walks, but often hard to find the start by car and on one occasion, it looks like the land owner had closed the path. Not the author's fault. It may be my age, but many walks took longer than indicated. Should I return to Crete, this guide will go with me. Thanks Rolf.

Very handy little book but read the descriptions and choose your walks with care - one we did in the Mesonas Gorge was very scary indeed!

I have Rother Walking Guide from Mallorca and Teneriffa and find them very good for the kind of walk I do (daywalks). And Crete is no exception. I can really recommend this book.

We undertook several of the walks in the western part of Crete. We thought the guide was well written, informative, and with excellent directions/maps. Recommended.
