It's a kit, and it's worth it.
After the initial disappointment of finding it out it was a model, not an action figure, but noticing how detailed the pieces were, my sons set out to put it together. The pieces are well made, easy to put together (for 10 yrs old an up, I'd say), and incredibly detailed. The description should say it is a model, and it is a great one.I notice other reviewers mentioned it comes apart easily. Time will tell us about that one. As of right now, it looks awesome.

Make sure you understand it is a model kit.
My sons are going through a Pacific Rim phase so this was a very anticipated item. We didn't notice that it was a model kit so the initial unboxing was a let down but when they saw how detailed the end result would be they became very excited. Now it's the preferred Jaeger over the pre-built toys. I do anticipate it will start falling apart, though. The kid is 6 and this feels like it will not last long especially since it immediately went into battle. Super-glue will fix that, though. It was fun and I think they are now open to models. Maybe Lego kits will start to fade.

fragile, kit to assemble, what a disappointment
At the time of buying it, it did not say anywhere that it is an assembly kit, I feel cheated, instructions are not the best, tiny font size.

Pure awesomeness
This pacific rim toy is good for beginners on model kits. I only have one downside, the part that connects the legs and waist sometimes fall off but I can still make lots of poses. This model kit is fun and easy. The instructions aren’t hard to read because some parts are in English.

It’s a model kit. It’s not assembled, you have to assemble it
The other person that wrote this review didn’t see that it said “MODEL KIT” it legit says it in the description. Otherwise it is a pretty good toy

Really cool model
I didn't know that this was a snap fit kit that you put together. The kit and instructions are really nice quality and it was really good to build the model. It took me a couple of hours to complete. Very happy with this purchase.

Not a toy
Writing this review because my husband orderd this for our son, upon recieving it we realized that we needed to piece it together. I didnt look this item up so I cant tell you if that is stated in the description. But if your looking for this as a toy this is NOT. Its probably just meant to sit on a shelf after putting together. I suppose if this is what we intended on getti g it is a great item. But as mentioned we purchased this thinking it was a toy that was already out together and this was not that.
