Alfy Shoe Cupboard Wenge Brown - by furniture factor

I don't write a lot of reviews and when I do, they are usually good ones. But in this particular instance I think it is my responsibility to blow the whistle and to help other people avoid the kind of loss I have suffered.This was delivered to me almost a week later than scheduled since the original shipment was damaged in transit and a replacement had to be sent. I had to settle for a color I did not like since the shade I had ordered was no longer in stock.Delivery trauma aside, the extremely poor quality of this product has absolutely shocked me. I've assembled scores of pieces of furniture in the past and this experience has given me the ability to judge the quality of a product during assembly itself. This one started falling apart much before the final stages and in such a miserable way that I was left me wondering if I was better off writing it off before it could begin its life as a shoe cupboard. The main planks chipped off around the holding screws because of cheap glue that may have been used to construct them. I have had to drill in holes of my own and insert additional screws to make the panels hang together. It does hold a few shoes now but I wouldn't be surprised if within a few months I am forced to bin it.My strongest recommendation not to buy this.
