Q: If two boxes (pack of 6) are ordered, will I receive 12 different minifigures or duplicates?

You could get lucky and get all 12 different minifigures or you could get the exact same box twice. One box(pack of 6) will all be different though, no duplicates in a single box of 6.

Q: If ordering a pack of six, do you get doubles out of those six characters?

I did order 2 boxes but one box contained 2 dragons and no pink candy cane fairy and that was the one I bought 2 boxes for. So I still need that one.

Q: Do these figures need to be built? Or are they already out together?

They need to be built; that's half the fun of buy Lego. I will piont out that when Lego boxes them this way the same six minfigures are each box, so you need 2 boxes to get the complete set. The nice thing is you get no repeats in an individual box, but you have a 50% chance of getting 2 of the same boxes. There is no way to identify which box is which

Q: Are there 6 different chapters in each box?

Yes, every box will contain 6 different minifigures. Usually they only have a couple box configurations though so buying (2) boxes doesn't mean you will get all 12 minifigures in that series. You will definitely get 6 different minifigures but it could be (2) of the same box so you end up with 6 duplicates. You could get lucky and get all 12 though.
