The Dragon Riot folding fillet knife is currently one heck of a deal at its current price of $13 (after the 50% off coupon). It is about 13" long when unfolded as has about a 5" long blade. The rubberized handle is nice in that it is 7" long which gives you plenty of room to grip it. It has a decent heft to it and only a little bit of side-to-side wobble (about 1/4" at the tip). THe blade is made out of stainless steel. I tested it with a magnet and it was attracted to a magnet, but far less than other stainless steel blades, I don't think you could use a magnetic knife mount to hold the blade. There is a flip out scraper located at the butt of the knife. The blade lock release mechanism is easy to access and at the same time positioned such that you wouldn't accidentally trigger it. When gripping the knife, the release is located under the center of the palm of your hand. The knife also includes a small V sharpener.I really like this knife as I typically take the kids fishing out in the boat and spend most of my time just keeping their hooks baited or helping them bring in a fish. When I need to run over to help with a fish, I can now simply fold up the blade and put it in a pocket or down on the cutting table without having to worry about having a sharp knife laying out on a rocking boat. Whoever sharpened my blade at the factory did one heck of a job, it was super sharp on arrival. I'll be buying another one of these for my father who is also into fishing.

First off this is a great fillet knife. It takes up little space in comparison to other non folding fillet knives. It also is VERY comfortable to hold and the blade has just enough flex in it for filleting. However, the knife, out of the box is not sharp enough for good filleting(my opinion as i like a VERY sharp knife). It is sharp enough for other uses and i had to put it very little effort into making it sharper. I did not use the sharpener that came with as i like to use stones. All being said i have no real complaints its a great knife. Form factor alone would make getting a second worth while if i needed.

Now this knife has a good weight to it. It's very balanced from handle to blade where the handle is heavy enough for you to control the blade's motion. The handle itself has majority of the backbone where it encases the blade when stowed away. As for the outer grip, it's very grippy where I know it won't slip out of my hands handling a slippery fish. There are finger grooves that assist in controlling the blade as well. It's easy to extend and retract the blade as well. Other than that, the blade has a good flex to it in order for you to get around the bones of the fish. The blade is already sharpened out of the package but it does come with a sharpener and honing tool so you could keep it sharp. As for the scabbard, it's not bad at all. It could be better in sewing as well as design but it's good enough for me. I'll be looking for another scabbard that has a lock to it instead of just a hook and loop system. Overall, it's an awesome filet knife that's portable with great craftsmanship and materials. It's well worth the price for something that you know could save space in your fishing bag.
