This thing is so freaking sturdy!
***Update***We've been using this to feed every meal, everyday for a little over a year and endless drops down the stairs with still no breakage. Today I came home and finally had to say goodbye.. the pup chewed the edges after it fell apart from falling down the stairs and it wouldn't fit together again. I will be buying another one, hands down, but wanted to update the review with a little more info for folks who may use this differently. * the slider is easier than desired to open and close. There were a couple days since we've had this where he had pushed it closed and since we give it to him to keep busy while we're out, he ended up starving those days. :( * There are some gaps that food crumbs tend to get stuck in that could make it hard to clean. I'll be honest I never cleaned it though (just shook out the debris) so mold, etc. wasn't a problem for us. * The plastic isn't tough enough for about chewers like puppies and the like to be left alone with it. * The sound of this on hardwood floors is LOUD. I don't mind but some people might. * Even after all this time, pup never stopped loving this thing. He looks forward to me leaving now since he gets his food ball! 😋**********************This thing is so freaking sturdy! I have an extremely energetic, intelligent border collie mix and I use it to feed him his meals to keep him engaged. It's been about two weeks now and he still loves pushing it around and never gets bored of it. He's also pushed it down the stairs twice; the first time it fell one step at a time on carpeted steps, and it remained undamaged and unopened. The second time it fell a whole story onto concrete through the gap behind the stairs and the two piecs merely separated (spilling the food out) rather than breaking or cracking. The hole where the food comes out is also deep inside it, so small dogs can't get their jaws stuck like some of the other food dispensing balls I've seen. I'm very impressed!! I'd recommend to anyone who needs to keep their dog engaged constantly.

Dog Loves It - Doesn't Travel All Over The House
My dog loves this. I put her kibble in it to use for extra food and giver her something to entertain her. If your dog eats too quickly, this will help with that. It does not hold a lot of food so you can limit the portions to help with better digestion. It also does not roll all over the house like the ball style ones do so it tends to be a bit quieter and makes less of a trail/mess.

Not for an older cat
My vet recommended I get one for my 8 year old cat (she loves to eat too much), but my cat would not try it in any way. In fact, she seemed offended that I would put her food in it! I'm giving it a good review because it does what it says it does, just not for my cat!

Breaks open easily
My dog has learned that if he drops it from the couch 2 times it breaks open easily. Once that happened the first time, it was a lot easier for her to continue to break open.

Great Activity Toy
Have 2 little dogs, they both figured it out right away. My miniature poodle figured out how to get the top off though and won't share it the toy. Had to buy another one for the other dog. It will keep them entertained for a long time.

The hole of the adjustable release poor. Shut on it's own
I got this to entertain my dog while he's home alone. In 1 hr, it was still full, the release closed on its own. The top was chewed beyond the point that it would ever work appropriately. And felt so sorry his gums bled all over it, and he had bleeding gums. He was stressed out, and the bleeding stressed me. I'm now afraid to give him any similar toy which he has had Kong toys last for years.I don't feel comfortable leaving to go to work.

Rabbit Loves This
I put hay pellets in this and my rabbit is obsessed with pushing it around and trying to get them out. Have to set the opening just right so that some pellets come out but not too many but once set you're good to go. Easily refillable -copen the top and put more in.
