I got this as back up because I use a quilt. If I'm wearing merinos but my head gets cold, this serves as a non restrictive option. Its very warm, has a neck and face cinch and packs to nothing. Great addition.

A great addition to a hoodless down jacket.Also fab for those cold nights camping in cold season. When a beanie doesn't quite do the job, enter the down hood, especially if using a quilt with no hood.Don't think this will be using the greatest hydrophobic down, still since its down I'd always treat it with good care.

Best down hood I have ever used. Very lite without bulk, it is so thin you think it can't keep your head warm however, it performs fantastic.
