Works as described.
We started feeding round bales and found that without some kind of net, the mess and wasted hay just wasn't worth it. This Texas Haynet isn't the cheapest and isn't the most expensive, but we love it. It is holding up very well and our hay waste has decreased dramatically. Great product, shipped on time, easy to use, and quality is at the high-end range.

This product pays for itself.
I read a lot of reviews before purchasing a hay net. We purchased the Texas Hay Net, and are pleased with it. We have used it throughout this winter with our two geldings. Our big bay QH is an easy keeper and this hay net has helped slow down his eating, so he doesn't get too fat eating on the round bale. During the winter, the horses get a little bored, so slowly working at the hay to pull it out of the holes keeps them busy. This hay net is very durable. It is intact, just like we purchased it, after several uses. This hay net reduces the waste of hay, because the horses aren't pulling it out and stomping it down into the mud and manure. Each round bale we put out lasts far longer than before we started using it.

This is the one you want!
Alright, if you a reading this, you are looking for a quality round bale haynet, look no further. I have not found a single brand that compares quality wise. I had about 6 horses eating in this thing for a year and not a single hole. I use 5 foot bales. I accidentally left a bale in this hay net over the winter and the bale was rotted and buried in the mud but the hay net was still perfect. I use 5.5x4 foot bales and it closes about perfect on them. They are more on the pricey end, but I have 3 of them now and will never buy another brand. Previously did some large square bales in it and it worked good too, just not as even of a fit. I have used a lot of the other brands and honestly, they just done compare. Long tail, so I normally tuck it under the bale.

Wanted to like it..
I was really excited about this net. It was easily put over the round bale and tightened down. But, I used it for 1 round bale and my horses already made their own holes. I’d understand this happening, if it had been used on multiple bales and been in the Texas sun all summer, but not for a couple of weeks I’m February and after only 1 round bale. It’s slightly pricey to be having that happen. Not sure id recommend for that reason.

Horrible! ZERO STARS!!!!!!!!
ZERO STARS!!! Or negative 5 if I could!!! The shape of the net sucks. It will not fully close on any of the round bales I put this onSo there for there is a huge gap on the bottom of the bale. The horses have figured this out and eat it down far enough where they flip it and start pulling hay out , pooping and peeing on the hay they have pulled out. I waste a huge amount of hay. DONT WAST YOUR MONEY. Get one from Hay Chick's. Ya it's more expensive but you definitely get what you pay for. This net says for 6"bales and that's what I feed. I absolutely Hate this net. Wast if money and it's still costing me due to the waste of hay each time I use it .

Get this and save some money
We have seven horses. We bought two hay nets this year. It seems to really help as two rolls of hay are lasting about 11-12 days and there is NO waste. However we thought we wouldn’t have to use a hat ring but we still use one because one was pawing at the hay and it was getting hung on her foot. But, the hay ring stopped that. Somehow with this hay net they get every strand of hay and it will be clean as a whistle, you would not even know a hay bale had been there. Used to they would stick their head in the bale and come out with a mouth full now they come out with a few pieces, so it definitely changes how much they get in one bite!I truly believe it will save money in the long run as far as hay cost goes.

Best round bale hay net!
Love this round bale hay net. It is so easy to get on and secure and The holes are small enough that it slows the horses down from chomping through the hay! Tried three others before I bought this one.

Durable
I've been using this round bale net for two winters in a row, and still don't have a single hole in the net. Durable, easy to use, easy to store. Very pleased with this purchase.
