I initially bought this for my long-haired cat, and have since used it on my 100 lb dog and both pets love it. This brush is great for gently combing and removing knots on my cat, he doesn't fight me when I brush him. I recently tried it on my short-coated large dog and it also does great with him and reduces the amount of hair I'm cleaning up.

I like the shape of this brush and the material it is made of. It is easy to hold. I use it to brush my sheepskin rug and Mongolian lamb pillows. It does a great job. I don't use it on my cat, who prefers a brush with softer bristles.

I bought this to clean a sheep skin rug after watching a YouTube video. I was initially going to wash the rug using a special soap, but it turns out that the IKEA rugs I have did not wash well despite being labeled as washable.I went with Plan B - combing out my old, but high quality sheep skin rug. The brush worked very well. It pulled some wool out, as to be expected, but it was easy to hold, and easy to clean.The rug looks super clean - a bit frizzy - but that will settle back down over time, supposedly.I recommend this brush.

Great brush for my toy poodle

I have a double coated large dog, and this works great on his coat.

I have bought ALOT of dif brushes, even a hair trimmer for my cats! One is 22 years old, and can't seem to groom like he used to, so he forms ALOT of nasty mats in his fur. Previously, we tried brushing them out, but the brushes would get caught on on them and hurt him trying to remove in a tug of war, so we resorted to cutting them out, but that was about a nightmare as well. So I took one more chance and bought this brush. All I can say is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !! not sure what the difference is, but the mats come out in a few brush strokes, and from what we can tell, kitty is not hurt AT ALL! As a matter of fact, they now fight each other for a turn with the brush! It does not clean the easiest, but for how it performs, I'll make that trade all day long!

It's very awkward to use on my medium/large cat. Especially on the face. It's wide and unwieldy, but like I said, works REALLY well! It's kind of a pain to clean though. I use a long tooth afro pic.

Perfect as a pre-brush for long coats, doodles, shihtzus, etc. After this I use a slightly harder one with protected tips (the grey and black Well and Good from Petco and this one make the perfect combo).
