Industrial Bespoke Handmade Oil Drum Barbeque This was a week long project commissioned for a customer, that turned out so well that we are now making them to order. This is hand built from the ground, starting with a genuine vintage oil drum, covered in lovely rust and patina, the drum is carefully cut in half, then edged and seam welded with an angle iron strip all the way around, allowing the hinged drum to sit beautifully together, for a quality finish. The legs are made from British made steel leaf springs from classic car suspension systems, these are seam welded to the oil drum shell for a very hard wearing and durable design. The drum is then fitted with chains as a stopper when opened, and a bespoke crafted handle is fitted. This design has two grills fitted, its lower grill that the coals sit on, allows air to flow under the coals, through the original threaded steel holes in the drum. Every one is completely bespoke, we give you a choice of different drums so you can choose you preferred level of patina, and the handles can be made in a variety of designs.
