GREAT LEG PROTECTORS
I see me using these for quite a few different things. Hiking for mud, ticks and the prickly bushes, ATV trails for mud and trees, shoveling snow and I think these would be great for on the motorcycle because when rocks kick up from passing cars and trucks it really hurts. The 1st time I put these on I put them on velcro in the back, they fit great and then I realized the way the writing was the velcro was to go in the front, they fit just as well and were even easier to get on and get adjusted. These leg gaiters are super easy to put on and get adjusted for a perfect fit. I tested them with sneakers and hiking boots and they worked great with both. They are very easy to put on and adjust. There is adjustable buckle for the strap that goes under your shoe giving a nice firm fit and keeping it from riding up.There is an elastic strip a the top with a toggle to give a nice tight grip under your knee and the whole leg gaiter velcros up your leg. These are light weight and very durable. They are waterproof and tearproof. The material is breathable and they come with their own drawstring mesh bag for storage.

No More Debris in my Boots
I am an avid horse back rider. My summer inner leg seamless riding jeans fit inside my boots instead of outside, and I am riding through desert brush, especially mesquite trees. Desert plants, like mesquite trees, all have thorns. So the tops of my boots take a beating. More importantly, I end up with sharp objects in my boots and have to either put up with something poking my legs and feet, or get off the horse, take them off, shake them out and get back on my horse. My Amazon name is ArizonaGirl, but I suppose it should be Arizona Getting to be an Old Lady (at 66), so the less I have to get on and off my horse the happier I am! The older I get the shorter my horses get! So even though my two boys are 14-2H and 14-3H, I would still rather not have to get on and off of them even once during a ride to get debris out of my boots. These gaiters solve those problems. I am 5"4' and they are quite tall for my legs, up to my knees. That puts them well above the top of my boots, so the tops of the boots are protected. The feet are protected by tapaderos so with the gaiters the entirety of the boots are protected. That also means that the tops of the gaiters are above a lot of the tree branches from which debris would get into the boots. But most importantly, they have an elastic string at the top that can be tightened with a clip to stay in place which then keeps debris from getting into my boots. You will also notice in the photos that I have them on inside out. I decided to do that because otherwise the loop at the end of the elastic string will get caught on the trees through which I am riding and break, thereby rendering the elastic useless to tighten the top and keep debris out of the boots. I suppose if you are hiking that's not a problem, but when on a gaited horse moving at a pretty good clip, the horse doesn't care that something is caught on the tops of the gaiters, he just keeps going and the elastic doesn't when it is caught on a tree so it breaks. And no, I don't have time to get the horse stopped to prevent that from happening, and so that's what killed a prior pair of gaiters I had. So wearing these inside out has solved that problem. They are easy to get on, with a velcro closure, right side or inside out, and have a band at the bottom to keep them secured at the bottom of the boot. They are also a good value for the price.

Good Hiking Gaiters: Bad For Bikers.
After buying then returning a different brand of gaiters for poor quality, I purchased these Hpory Leg Gaiters. Out of the box they looked and fit good. I needed them for riding motorcycles. They worked fine for a few months wearing them about 5 times a week on the open road at freeway speeds. After 11 months the Velcro stopped gripping and one or both of the gaiters would come loose requiring an unscheduled stop on the side of the road. For the price, not bad for a year of use. Just bought a more costly set of leather half chaps that seem to be more durable.Hpory gaiters should last several seasons for hiking or recreation in the snow. Not the best choice for motorcycle riders.

These Gators Will Keep You Dry
Bought these gators for our teen son, who was working at a tree farm in November-December during really rainy, cold weather. These were easy to put on, and kept his boots and legs dry. Thick, sturdy material. Highly recommend.

Steaming Hot Garbage
Took these on a backpacking trip in Olympic National Park. Was looking forward to having dry boots. These gaiters were destroyed after just a few hours on the mountain. My wife’s budget brand gaiters made it through the trip. My Hpory’s right bottom velcro strap exploded, the left strap plastic buckle vaporized. Steaming. Hot. Garbage.

Disappointing product
I used the Gaiters for hiking in Rwanda and the velcro straps kept going undone. It seems those who design this products never tested them real world with the mud although the whole purpose of wearing these are to hike in the mud. Don't buy this for hiking in sand or mud, the straps under the feet kept coming undone.
