Waterproofer Outdoors 2.5ltr - Outdoor protection for Tents, Outdoor Gear, Awnings Waterproof

Purchased this for our caravan as our awning needed re-waterproofing, good quality product and easy to use. Value for money.

We live in Southern Scotland. A decent coat is a must around here. Unfortunately our waterproof coats are becoming a wee bit permeable- cold and wet patches can come through and soak the underlying layers in quite an unpleasant way. So we decided to try some Water Armour Outdoors weather proofer. The three litre bottle arrived promptly together with a spray gun on the end of a flexible tube. The instructions, in short, say using 250ml for a jacket, spray the coat from a distance of 6 inches, and allow it to dry. So you can spray 12 jackets; £1.80 per item seems not much compared to the cost of a new one. I marked 12 equally spaced lines on the side of the bottle using a Sharpie pen. My old grey waterproof was the first guinea pig. I swopped the bottle top for the spray gun, hung the coat on the back of a chair and gave it a spray soak all over outside which is easy because the flexi tube is quite long. The liquid has no worrying health warnings so I repositioned hoods and sleeves as necessary during the process without worrying too much about it. The coat didn't look much different afterwards. Next day obligingly it rained quite copiously, proper rain, during the dog walk of about 40 minutes. The dog and my untreated trousers were soaked through, as usual, but my coat, my shoulders, and the mobile phone in my pocket… not! I was pretty chuffed by this result so five stars seems appropriate. Also, I’m less scared about my coats losing their properties in the wash when necessary, so I may be a bit more socially acceptable in the future ha ha.

Have used this product a number of times hence late review. Comes highly recommended!! Used on my coats, walking materials, dog coat, tent, outside patio furniture. This product is extremely versatile!!!

Seems to work ok on our caravan awning.

Used to waterproof a tent. If anything, it undid the existing waterproofing! Woke up in a puddle, with a literal waterfall through the seams, when before it would just drip a little during storms. Avoid.
