Nestled safely between your arms and behind the protection of the bicycle handlebars, your child can look around and be totally involved with the ride by turning the padded steering wheel. Great seat
Only used it once but I wanted to review whilst I remember!I am average height and have a ladies hybrid bike. The seat fitted in minutes (the tool to attach the stinger clips in under the steering wheel which is a nice touch, as you can swap bikes out and about). My knees barely touch the seat - only really when you go around corners - so I could cycle completely normally. I did lower my seat slightly, but that was more to make it easier to get on the bike stepping over the back, as it is difficult to step through with the seat on. I may play around with the seat height next time. My son is an average sized one year old, and I couldn't feel any change to how the bike handled - I was surprisingly confident very quickly. The seat itself is very light so it doesn't really add any weight. My son's helmet was just below my chin with a comfortable space, and can lean forward and give his chubby cheek a kiss with no problems! He seems to fit comfortably into the seat.I went with this newer model more because I noticed the weight goes up higher than in the older model (38 vs 33 lb) but my son did sit and hold the stearing wheel the whole time (until he discovered my bell, which he rang continuously! Might need to move that!). I don't really intend to go out with it when he needs to sleep, but it is good to know he can lean his head on the wheel if we are out longer than planned.It also arrived really quickly - I was told 5-7 days and it was here in two.Really happy with it so far - and looking forward to getting a bit more exercise and some fun time out with my boy!

Great sturdy seat with padded areas for childs bottom and back.strong plastic constuction with strong heavy duty bolts for mounting bracket.3 point safety harness which are very easy to adjust.easily installed .from opening packaging to completed installation fitting literally took 5mins.instrutions are provided if your totally dumb.legs do not dangle near moving components.im over 6ft and have no clearance issues with knees.if you have your seat at correct height for normal cycling it will be fine.very happy with this seat.

very easy to install
very easy to install, the kid likes it a lot as he sees everything , the weight on the bike is equally balanced. I tottaly recomand it.

Watch your knees and your back.
It was good for the first few rides and my little one loved it. Happy days - however I noticed that I needed to change my riding style so my knees didn't hit the seat - after a week the knock on effect was a bad back and I've not used the seat since.

5+ Years of frequent use.
I have just retired my seat after 5+ years very enjoyable use as the children are now too big. The materials and build quality are a bit off putting at first but mine has survived well with some attention to the cushion. The position of the seat on the handlebars has always seemed very natural to me from a cyclists point of view. As you are holding the bars while wheeling the bike you are well balanced when walking. Rear seats feel awkward to me in this respect. My kids found they could sleep in the seat as well! The ability to talk and hear a small child while on the move is a great bonus. No experience of customer service issues as it just turned up on time. In terms of safety I think if the balance and riding position suit you and your bike then there isn't an issue.
