The material is sturdy enough and it does suction well for stability to a point. Thankfully I still have my wits about me and remain mindful that sometimes things can go wrong. One morning I reach in to get into the shower and the left suction cup pulled off. Again, good thing that I'm mindful or an accident could have ensued. I rewet the suction cup and put as much force as I could to reapply it. So far that seems to be working.
