Note: Some of the customers have problems while vacuuming and sealing. Most of these problems are caused by misusage. Please read the instruction manual carefully. The below is a quick instruction on how to avoid them. To seal, press the nozzle button while vacuuming (the motor inside is working). The nozzle will be stored in the unit and sealing automatically begins. *Please do not press the start/stop button before pressing the nozzle button. *Please transfer from vacuum mode to seal mode within 60secs. Otherwise, the machine temporarily stop. To vacuum, move the intended object or substance near the nozzle. Creating an unblocked airflow near the nozzle allows for better air discharge..

Better than the FoodSaver and more control than a chamber sealer, but still not the solution for small jobs.
I have used the FoodSaver Vacuum Sealers for quite a few years, but have been frustrated with trying to seal foods with any amount of liquids and that the sealer overheated after sealing 5 bags of food. I finally invested in a VacMaster VP215 Chamber Vacuum Sealer and also bought this Food Shield machine for small jobs. I am still on the edge of returning this machine. Although it is supposed to work with Ziplock bags, it tends to suck in the bag when the material is not thick enough. This prevents it from taking air out of the bag. It does work well with thicker 3 mil bags, and doesn't have a problem with taking air out of the bag. If trying to take air out of a bag than holds soft products, such as bread products, there is more control, but using bags made less than 3 mil can be a problem in getting the suction. On the plus side, when sealing foods that have a lot of liquid, there is control on the suction, and any liquids sucked up to into a container and don't gum up the system. This system does not work with channel type bags such as FoodSaver bags, but, in my opinion, does not work well with anything less than 3 mil bags.It does give you a level of control over the amount of vacuum and the seal which a chamber vacuum does not. I love the chamber vacuum sealer for so many things I can seal with it, but i also like this sealer for the control that is offered for sealing.Update 5/19/18:I have had this sealer for about two weeks, and in that time have tried it a number of times. I have learned to use my chamber sealer to control the vacuum time, but have hoped that this sealer would work for the small daily jobs of sealing leftovers. Although this sealer can seal bags of food with liquid content and any sucked up liquids to into the container without mucking up the sealer, it has a problem with sucking up the bag so that it can't evacuate the air. It has been very frustrating to get the bag material out of the nozzle so that the air could be removed. This sealer is advertised to have the ability to seal Ziploc bags which it does by adjusting the seal time, but the problem is getting the air out of the bags before the nozzle sucks up the bag. I have found this to be a problem even with the thicker 3 mil bags. At this point, I think I would have less frustrations with a channel sealer using the pulse mode for daily jobs. For these reasons, I have decided to return this sealer.

Best food savor machine to buy hands down
This is the only machine that lets you use camber bags, ziplock bags which saves you money from buying the other expensive bags. Its a must have yes they are other machines that are a lot cheaper but you will pay for it in the long run because you can only use their type of bags which will cost you more money.I meal prep my food and sometimes it goes bag from using food containers.with this food shield you can cook all your meat and vegetables and fruit and put them into whatever portion you want I usually 8 oz of chicken so I made alot of bags ready to go.So if you're like me and always on the rush when you're hungry or your kids are hungry all they have to do is go in the fridge and get the fruit or food they want to eat simple and easy saves time and money. Not sure why the other people gave it a bad review maybe they didn't use it right but I'm telling you right now this is the best machine you can buy hands down. I put picture of some food and vegetables I did.

This is it. Why would you buy anything else
I did my research for a really long time and just could not decide on which one to buy. Chamber type vacuumes are the best but expensive and very bulky. This one is combines the best features. Works great and can use flat bags that are much cheaper and more durable than Foodsave bags. I don't know why anyone would buy anything else.Pros:The seal is strongCompact sizeVisible chamber that let you see if liquids are getting inCan use Ziplock bags, I do recommend buying flat Chamber type bags wich are cheaper and better qualityCons:Getting liguid chamber out to clean requires a bit of a force

Works with any bag!
This has to be one of the most affordable bag sealers ever, meaning you do not have to buy all of these expensive bags that the competition insists you must buy for their machine. You can cut the zipper lock off a bag put your food item in and reseal it. There are plain bags available which are a heavier plastic for freezer use, which is what I use. It also has a port to plug into for canister vacuuming, it comes with the attachment. The port is located under the small container which stores any liquid that may sucked out of the bag. This is a nice size and does not take up a lot of room on your kitchen counter. A really good vacuum sealer and a lot quieter than most.
