Difficult to thread and release
Quality product which arrived on time, however, I find it very difficult to thread the end through the lock, both pushing it through to secure it and pulling it out to release.

Stores well
Takes a bit of force to open and close, but not too bad. Combination wheels turns fairly easily. the tip of the band that you insert into the locking mechanism wants to bend a little bit and I'm worried someday it will crack, but I think I can just trim it off if that happens. I wish it were a little bit lighter, but not bad. WAY better than my old coily lock. This thing stores in/on the bike very well. I just throw it in my rack box, but it comes with an attached rubber tie that (especially if used in conjunction with some sort of Velcro strap) enables you to strap it in the corner of your frame under your seat.

Multipurpose Lock
I bought this lock to secure my e-scooter for when I go into a businesses for a short time. Scooters don't have a lot of obvious attachment points for a lock. The OttoLock solves that problem nicely. I can go up to a bike rack, sign post, parking meter, etc, and just cinch it tight. I just make it tight enough so a thief can't pull it up over the handle bars or down around the base of the scooter. It's very effective. As a cyclist, I'm also able to secure my bike for a quick stop. If you have expensive wheels to protect get the longer size so you can wrap it around the frame and through the wheels too.Only complaint is the color rubs off on the other stuff in my backpack with it.

GAME CHANGER! Great lock!
Is it too much to say a lock has changed your life? Well, this one has changed my cycling life. I no longer dread finding a place to lock my bike. I no longer conk my head on the bike stand as I try to wrestle with a U-lock connected to a cable lock, and so on. I live in a college town. I lock my bike anywhere EXCEPT the college campus, and I feel confident this lock will do the trick. I never leave my bike for long. If I did, I'd add a U lock. But there is no need for a cable lock, since this thing is much stronger than a cable. Less strong than a U, but it has the added advantage that most thieves are unfamiliar with it--they don't have the tools to break it, and if they use cable cutters, it will take a long time. Check out the OUTSIDE MAGAZINE review of this lock on youTube. It shows how STRONG this lock is!
