iLuv my iBoard!
I was completely disgusted with my old ironing board. It was ugly, rickety, and it made a horrible screech every time I opened it.I almost lost it the day it collapsed while I was ironing. My iron went flying and melted the carpet while the board itself crashed down on my foot and cracked my toenail.Seeing no better options, I resorted to ironing on an old beach towel on top of my bed. Then my friend told me about iBoard. She said "it's little more expensive than a typical ironing board but it's worth it.... you will love it".Let me say iDO!It's so trendy :)It's light but very sturdy, easy to open, and it doesn't make that horrid noise when I open it.I wasn't sure about the oversized feet but they really do make the board super stable and they don't scratch the floor! The iron rest keeps my iron safe and secure and makes it much easier to position the clothes on the board. There is even a place to hang the clothes I'm ironing built right into the rest. How nice that someone actually payed attention to all of these great little features.Even my 11 year old daughter was impressed enough to ask for her first ironing lesson. This would make a fantastic bridal shower or housewarming present. It's going to be my new go-to gift!

This would be a 5 star review if the cover was better
The board is very sturdy with good with good height adjustment. However the cover is too thin with no padding so it wrinkles

Gnarly, dude!
It's almost, but not quite, perfect. There were a lot of great ideas that went into this board, and one bad one. Not a deal killer by any means, but it was so close to being totally tubular.Pros:* easy to set up and collapse--by far the easiest of any board I've ever used* tall enough for a 6'3" feller to iron comfortably* doesn't screech on setup/collapse* light weight* handle* iron rest w/ hanger slotsCons:* the surfboard shapeSummary: the edged are bowed like a surfboard instead of straight like a conventional board. Maybe I haven't learned to adapt my ironing style, but I find it easier to iron a shirt (with straight side seams) on a conventional board.

My iron (a good quality Rowenta made in Germany) did not move smoothly ...
I bought this because all five of it's reviews were 5 stars. I used it once to iron two shirts and sent it back. So much for 5 star reviews. It was stable but the front foot stuck out so far that I kept stepping on it. Rather irritating. The top is made of a plastic mesh which is not very smooth. It has a slightly raised lip all the way around the edge of it and the surface was slightly concave on the one I got. The cover and pad are thin and cheap. My iron (a good quality Rowenta made in Germany) did not move smoothly across the board. The Rowenta drips occasionally and any water spot on the cover did not iron out but became a source of reflective water spotting which was quite irritating. When I finished and folded up the board, I found, much to my dismay, that the underside was covered with water. But there was even more water that had dripped on the floor under the board, so much that I had to mop up the floor. In the 50+ years I have been ironing, I have never seen anything like that and immediately requested a return for what I consider to be a defective product.

ironing board very secure but large feet get in the way and are difficult to manipulate, especially on carpet. Too much money for something that is just average.

Met every expectations.
This thing is the porche of ironing boards. If you ever need to iron at 3am because you fell asleep at night (happens to me all the time) you can actually do it with this thing without waking up the neighborhood since its ninja-quiet. It is very durable and everything you'd expect from an ironing board.Tip: Once you get your board, I suggest turning up that iron to about 75% heat (or use a steamer) and running it on top of this board. Then rub it with your other hand as you make a pass with your iron/steamer. It seems to have a thin layer of rubber or plastic to maybe protect it from shipping the iron with weaken this coating and rubbing it will take it off completely. At first I was disappointed cause my iron won't slide easily but after I did this, I had no more issues. Also worth mentioning: I ordered the plain striped board and at the time, it was unavailable for Prime shipping. I figured I'd order it and get it within the week but Amazon had a "Expected Shipping" of 2-3 days from when I ordered it. So I tried cancelling it and just settle with a lower quality one because I needed it ASAP but David Farnworth replied to my cancellation request and (the founder of the company I guess) made sure that it was shipped in a timely manner and I actually received my order before Amazon even posted "Shipped". That is world class customer service right there.

Based on the good reviews this ironing board received, I ordered it. I was replacing an ironing board I received 45 years ago as a wedding gift. However, I am disappointed with my purchase. When you pick up on the board to move it, the feet tip up and do not lay down flat easily when you set the board back down. It is having to monkey with the feet that I don't like. It only becomes stable AFTER you get the feet situated. You will need to be sure all four feet are FLAT before you take your hands off it!
