Good knife for the price
Incredibly sharp, beautifully made, well balanced. Handle is a little large but fits my male hand very well. Only $17.49 when I bought it and I think it is a great deal. The steel is relatively hard and holds the edge well, sharpening takes a little time but goes well.

Super sweet knife!
Out of the box it is sharpened to a razor. The mirror smooth finish and thickness of the blade cut through hard vegetables like butter. Kitory states the inner core is VG-10 steel, we shall see about that. Right now, I am giving this knife a 5 star. The balance is there, sharpness, finish, and handle are all tops. If this knife turns out to be legit, I am buying their entire line of knives! I will definitely keep this review updated. Full disclosure, it will be used with only a Paulownia wood cutting board, and never see the inside of a dishwasher.

Good quality sharp knife!
Was super skeptical about buying this cause it had no reviews besides vine/paid ones but this knife is sharp and great quality especially for the price! Would definitely buy again!

Beautifully made High Quality knife
The core layer, that really matters functionally, is made from a high-carbon stainless steel. This layer is the only one exposed at the cutting edge. It should do a credible job in actual uses. The remaining outer layers only add visual appeal, and they certainly do. Multi-layered "damascus" steel once required days of forging work by skilled artisans to produce. It is apparent that has been transformed into a controlled automated manufacturing process. The result is this beautiful functional piece being sold at very reasonable price.

Definitely NOT Japanese VG10 Steel
I mainly purchased this knife bc it advertised Japanese VG10 steel at an unbelievable bargain basement price. I was skeptical but took leap of faith bc the knife was so cheap in price. Few months after purchase, I learned that Japanese law prohibits exports of raw Japanese VG10 steel -- it's protected for Japanese knife making industry. This means these Chinese manufacturers are NOT using real VG10 steel. They're probably using some version of CRMOV steel, which is decent to pretty good, but not at same quality as VG10. As for performance... this knife, as with most knives out of the box, was very sharp. Real test is edge retention which correlates to hardness/quality of steel. So I gave it a month of use and in the meantime, I bought an entry level Tojiro VG10 nakiri knife made in Japan. This would be perfect comparison... a budget price but genuine VG10 nakiri knife from reputable knife maker Tojiro from Japan vs. skeptical VG10 nakiri from China. Also I use a legit VG10 gyuto chefs knife from Seki, Japan, as my normal daily knife so I'm very familiar w/sharpness & edge retention of this steel. After a month of only medium use, I have buyer's remorse. This knife is not as sharp as the Tojiro, not even close, edge retention is definitely not VG10. The thin tomato slicing test was not possible w/this knife, but I could do it well w/the Tojiro. It's past the return deadline so I'm stuck with it. Thinking about giving it to mom so she can use it at her church's kitchen--I'm sure they use cheap knives so this nakiri would be an upgrade. For reference: I usually sharpen my VG10 gyuto every 3-4 mths. I would have to sharpen this every mth. It's not the same steel. I'm giving this nakiri knife 3 stars. It's decent. Will be nice & sharp out of the box for few weeks. It's CRMOV steel. Sooner than later, you'll have to sharpen or use different chopping/slicing techniques to get the job done. And most people won't have sharpening skills to achieve its original sharpness, meaning it won't be as sharp as before. But it's still decent, especially for the price. Sums up to 3 stars for me.

Sharp and cuts excellent
Bought this knife for my boyfriend in his new apartment. I was sick of using his cheap, flimsy knives so I bought this one. Was super happy about this knife because it cuts super well, super sturdy, and overall looks amazing. Great buy for the price!

Great blade, handle could have been shaped better.
Super sharp out of the box, nice damascus pattern, handle looks great but theres a little ridge between the wood and the metal of the blade and the metal of the pommel that doesn't feel good.

Great knife.
This paring knife is amazing. It’s very sharp. I bought three of the larger knives in this brand and liked them so well I bought this paring knife. I’m so glad I did.
