Dell for some unforeseen reason encourages users to open up their laptops and replace the thermal paste and pads if they want it to perform to spec as a high performance machine (in this case Alienware 17 R5)I did it, but then the stupid pins came off my stock card and are stuck in the cable. Tried to dig it out with a needle, made a mess. faced with either replacing the entire screen assembly at cost and risk, I looked at alternatives.Went through 4 different antennas before finding this beauty. Absolutely perfect - no adhesive antenna end, just a shielded piece you can place in many different places in the base of your computer.This fits M.2 Wifi cards - you probably have been buying the wrong antennas like me for Mini PCI e cards.FULL SIGNAL now restored. Perfect length for my pc. Bluetooth 5.0 working perfectly and i'm getting even higher speeds than before on the 5.0ghz network (this could be due to wifi card though).THANK YOU THANK YOU ( I bought another one as a backup, because these are hard as heck to find)

I bought this not knowing how good the signal quality would be, as it went in to a mini PC with metal casing.But turned it on and wow, great connection from signal, i positioned it towards the front of PC. and it works great.I use it as a Sky Go desktop to stream all the time. Not noticed any drops at all.

Some laptop brands will only ship with 1 WiFi antenna, where almost all WLAN cards come with 2 MHF4 antenna plugs. Thin profile as well should allow you to fit this into the laptop without any modifications needed. Saw an immediate improvement in signal and the number of networks visible.
