Plenty of mindfulness practice examples
I wanted to learn about mindfulness and decided (after several years) to finally buy a copy of this book. Iβd liked it when it was first published but had put off actually getting it. It is well illustrated with plenty of photographs, and has lots of suggestions for different mindfulness meditations, including walking meditations; plus lots on visualizations. The book includes an eight-lessons introductory course, and provides an interesting history of the development of mindfulness practices, and its use in professional therapies. I feel itβs a worthwhile guide for the general reader - and at second-hand prices is also great value for money!

Helpful without being to "heavy" (reading)
A nice helpful guide in small manageable bite-size chunks..nice to be able to read a chapter, then put the book down to digest the info (one of the reasons I got this one as "heavy" reading of any kind is just not feasible at the moment). Lots of different processes to try to get yourself back on track, even tables to be able to track your own progress included in an 8 session mindfulness course. - Will review again once completed.

Kindle version crashes
I was really enjoying reading this book and the info was good so far, providing a comprehensive overview of different psychological applications for Mindfulness. However, certain pages at around 58% into the book (in the course of 8 sessions) repeatedly crashed my kindle every time so I had to restart it. It also sets the book back to 1%. I thought first time it was a fluke but it's happened multiple times and so I've deleted it from my kindle and will get my money back. Really frustrating and a real shame in an otherwise enjoyable read.

A must buy
Firstly the book arrived very quickly. The contents is more than I expected. The scientific info is of high quality and the proven effects on the brain very interesting. The practical guidance is easy to understand and apply. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in meditation.

Covers a very wide spectrum of the subject easy accessible read would recommend to all levels of experience . A resource to continue to refer back during ones own journey of mindfulness
