Doesn’t suck very well
Great in theory but doesn’t have strong enough suction.

Not powerful
Not powerful enough. Can barely pickup a tissue paper, you basically have to touch it. I had to return it because it doesn't have enough suction. Also, what is a LED TORCH, it's just a light. This product exaggerates everything about it. I do like the product design. It's a shame it isn't powerful enough. IF they had 50-100% more vacuum power it would be great.

Was skeptical for no reason
I was super unsure about this but it works great. I've caught multiple spiders and even flying bugs! Love the light on the end too

Never Recharged
This device works precisely as advertised -- until it doesn't.It came with a strong initial charge which lasted long enough to allow roughly ten tours of the house, sucking up around ten spiders a shot. The release mechanism works great, and watching it shoot spiders out like some kind of shotgun of doom was a hoot.I then tried to recharge it using the provided cable. FAIL.If you want a spider sucker that is essentially single-use, this is a good one. If you want one that you can use for more than a few days before it is trash, you may want to look for a different one. It's kind of like fireworks -- a lot of fun that's over far too quickly.

Well designed but underpowered. Will not suck up larger spiders.
The device is well designed and makes use of chambers within the tube to not only suck up the spider and keep it contained via a door that clicks shut over the opening, but to also blow the spider out of the tube. Unfortunately the vacuum lacks power. It barely managed to suck up this tiny lil spood and, while it was fun to get a close look and even identify it (false widow according to google), the ability to blow the spider back out when I went outside to release it was frustrating. Nearly bringing the spider back in, until I saw it scuttle around in the tube. I feel this product is overpriced for such weak operation at a full charge. Had it been more powerful it would've been perfect.

This works!!
I just came across a rather large spider (about the size of a quarter) in the middle of my kitchen. I was afraid to smash it since it might be full of babies. I was able to suck the spider into the hose and dump it in the toilet. No mess, no fuss! I’ve also used this to catch stink bugs that occasionally get in and crawl high on my crown molding. When it’s not late at night, I can easily release the bugs into the yard. Two thumbs up! I plan to give this as a gift for X-mas.

Battery is terrible
Do not waste your money on this I’m mad i did. After a FULL charge (light green & everything) you can get 1 use out of it. Not to mention that “one use” lasts about 60-90 seconds so you better catch that bug fast or it will die on you mid action. Also: the suction sucks too, you’ll mainly only be able to catch spiders. I’ve only caught daddy long legs so far i doubt it will catch them fuzzy ones

Very useful.
I use this at work to collect the bugs everyone doesn't like. I will not kill them, except for carpenter ants. Makes it much easier to catch and return to the outside.

Trop cher pour ce que ca fait
Aucune force d'aspiration. A titre d'exemple, ne parvient pas à aspirer mes cheveux. Retour accepté mais à nos frais. Quelle arnaque ! À ce jour je ne sais même pas s'ils vont me rembourser, je ne trouve l'information nulle part.

Handy hoover
This hoover will be your best friend if you're scared of spiders/bugs. I fortunately haven't had the chance to use it yet! However the suction seems good! It's sturdy and pretty lengthy. In terms of noise it just sounds like a standard hand hoover. I'm not too sure on the opening as it seems to flap in the way which could make accuracy a bit harder. You'd also have to use your hand to close it which if you're petrified might make you anxious. It seems like it would be very effective and safe for the spider. 9 times out of 10 you probably wouldn't need the blower part but if you do it's easy to switch over without anything escaping. The light feature is handy too. I wish I could've done a review after I'd had chance to use it but who knows maybe I can edit this one! Very happy with my purchase, I feel a lot safer knowing I have a way to get rid of spiders!

Works initially but then failed outside of warranty
This worked on initial charge : used it 3-4 times brilliant . Then recharged and since then it has been faulty . Starts without pressing the button . Suction rubbish ( 2 huge escapees ) and motor won’t stop when you release pressure on the button . Now it has gone past the return date of course !! A waste of £30 :-(

Does the job
Best thing ever, easy to charge and assemble worked a treat on the family of false widow spiders that moved into our conservatory. Would recommend 👌

A little light on suction but rechargeable battery and blow function are a hit.
I've previously bought a rival brand of spider catcher and I've been pretty happy with their performance and functionality - I keep one upstairs, one downstairs and have even bought them for friends! However, I recently broke one of them while 'manually ejecting' a spider - when I removed the cap from the end of the collection tube and swung my arm to generate the centrifugal force required to shift the little blighter, the handle casing came apart and the top section of the handle flung across the road, taking the collection tube with it and shattering the end. Seeing that this alternative model utilises the fan to blow bugs back out the same way they came in, and so seems prevent my recent mishap from reoccurring, I was intrigued enough to invest.Pros:Rechargeable battery - The rechargeable nature of the battery contained in the unit is a definite plus. I can keep it topped up so I can maintain the highest level of suction possible with the unit. This compares favourably to the rivals which use a square 9V battery. I find the batteries maintain peak suction for a while but then slowly drain and before you know it, it's sucking as well anymore - something age will do to you I guess.Blows as well as sucks - The fact that you can switch the collection tube to the exhaust port and fire out whatever you caught without flinging the thing around like an Olympic discus thrower winding up for a record attempt is certainly a plus - poke the end of the window & blow and you're all done.Bugs are intentionally stopped half way - The Plastic 'filter' contained within the tube connector (that isn't clearly visible from product images so you can't really see it's there, making you wonder how the thing prevents bugs being sucked into the fan / escaping out the open end while you switch the tube from the suck nozzle to the blow one) means bugs stop half way down the tube and aren't launched all the way down to the end, within centimetres of your hand.Cons / areas for future improvement:Lower suction in comparison to rivals - Although you can maintain maximum suction by keeping the rechargeable battery topped up, the overall power is lacking compared to rival versions when they've got a fresh 9V battery installed. I've easily caught plenty of smaller spiders with this rechargeable version, but larger ones had to be 'pinned' up against the wall in order to be captured - the 9V version would still suck in big ones from a bit of a distance or without the capture tube needing to be perpendicular to the wall. I've yet to suffer 'the one that got away', but higher suction would definitely be an improvement.LED light - While it sounds like it could be useful in theory, it's not effective in reality. The light on the handle does illuminate the area when you're at a distance, but because the suction booster nozzle is opaque and also tapered, it casts a shadow on the very thing you want to see clearly as you move in for the capture. The light could be useful if you're not using the nozzle (as the capture tube itself is transparent) but the nozzle is usually needed as it increases the speed of the air at the end of the capture tube and makes up a little for the lower overall suction. The outcome is that the LED is actually a hinderance when the tapered nozzle is in place. If the nozzle was made of transparent plastic in future iterations of the product (instead of the current opaque dark green), it may help and mean the light is actually effective.Hanging strap - Again, it sounds like it should be a good idea but it's neither here nor there really. If it was slightly larger then it would double as a wrist strap, but the loop is too small to get my hand through. I'll probably snip it off as it just gets in the way since I can't put my hand through it.Opaque suction booster nozzle - I've mentioned above that the nozzle being opaque renders the LED light ineffective at best, and an actual hinderance in my experience. But the fact that it's opaque also means it's not easy to tell if the ejection of bugs has gone to plan. Just because the tube is bug-free, doesn't mean the little nasties haven't managed to cling on to the insides of the nozzle and are waiting there for you to turn off the blower so they can happily crawl out while you're blissfully unaware of their re-emergence. This is another reason why I'd prefer the nozzle was as clear as the rest of the collection tube.Price - As useful as it is, it's pushing a tenner more expensive than its rivals. It definitely has a number of advantages over its competitors, but also comparable weaknesses too. I guess you won't be forking out for expensive 9V square batteries on the regular but is that worth an extra ten quid at the checkout?ConclusionFirst off, i haven't had the same issue with the power button sticking that other customers have seemingly had to deal with. I'm not sure if that's because my product doesn't happen to have the manufacturing fault where the hole in the handle is too tight for the push button to move freely within it, whether the design has actually been altered to increase the diameter of the hole, or whether I've just not been as heavy-handed in pressing the button as others may have been so that it hasn't had the opportunity to get stuck. Either way, it's working as expected.Overall I'm pretty pleased with this spider catcher, but not enough to warrant me replacing the rival products dotted around the house just yet. Time will tell if this one will stand up to the bigger tests of larger, heavier beasties that I know the others can handle, so I'll keep both for now while I continue my field tests!
