Jasmine Dragon Pearls is a scented green tea grown from Fuding Da Bai Cultivar tea leaves in Fuding, Fujian. The green tea leaves are kept in cold storage from early spring to late summer, when they are transported via road to Hengxian, the home of Jasmine flowers in Guangxi province. In Hengxian, they are mixed with freshly picked jasmine flowers and left overnight to absorb the aroma. This process is repeated 7-10 times and then the scented tea leaves are carefully hand-rolled into pearls. History: If legend is to be believed, this tea was invented when a young girl from Fuzhou sought the aid of a mystical dragon to heal her ill brother. The dragon soared into the air, where a small pearl grew on his chest, from which a drop of water fell sprouting a tea bush. The girl looked after the bush and harvested it the following year. The girl dried the tea leaves next to jasmine flowers and hand-rolled them into small pearls like the one that appeared on the dragons chest. She used the leaves to brew a cup of tea which she used to heal her ill brother.
